We are in a strange place with the markets. Bitcoin is pumping, alts are sluggish and Hive is jumping in strange directions. It's hard to know what is happening from one week to the next with prices and market sentiment.
I mean, did anybody know about $TRUMP this week. I hadn't seen a post or heard a peep about it. It's now no19 in the entire crypto market and worth $65. This place is crazy and it only takes one bit of FOMO to drive any given project up the charts. Just look at solana. A terrible chain that rejects the majority of it's transactions and has cost users billions in rug pulls and yet people are there every day chasing riches.
I do the same with small amounts but Hive is the place to be and where the long term plays are. Splinterlands has been going for seven and still a long way from a finished product. We've seen how fast it can explode if the interest is there so I'll keep stacking cards and building a top collection.
$SPS is the key. If it's gets to 10c then there is a lot of incentive to earn it and to buy more assets to earn more SPS. How we get there i don't know but it would blow up every asset in the game if the price is right.
New game modes.
I'm looking forward to survival mode myself. A card killing arena with prize pool for those willing to risk their deck.
Love it and it could revitalize the rental market too as cards go into cooldown mode. Looking at the info it should give us a reason to get battling again and hard to bot as decks change after every fight.
- No Energy Requirement:
Unlike other formats, Survival Mode does not require energy to enter matches, allowing players to engage in battles as much as they want. - Card Cooldowns:
Cards that die in battle enter a cooldown state, making them temporarily unavailable for subsequent battles. The cooldown period depends on the card's rarity, level, and foil status. - Collection Management:
This mode shifts the strategy from building the strongest team for each battle to managing a collection over time. Players might need multiple copies of certain cards to keep playing effectively. - Rewards:
There will be an SPS (Splintershards) reward pool for Survival Mode, similar in size to those of Modern and Wild formats, where players earn rewards based on their performance.

So I went buying again.
Just a few cards to fill out my collection.
This last one isn't for gameplay but couldn't pass it up at the price. They used to go for huge money a couple of years back and there are only 123 in existence.
Other people might be fading the game but there is a hardcore group that love it and will stick with it as long as splinterlands is still going.
Hopefully the team can take advantage of the upcoming bull run and futureproof for a longer period.
Still time to jump in.
If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.
