Our community is brimming with seasoned players and experts, and what better way to enhance your skills than by absorbing their wisdom? The Social Media Challenge is oozing with knowledge! Have you heard about Lyra & Lorn's remarkable shop?
It’s a place steeped in intrigue and wonder, often described as a hidden gem in the heart of the fantastical. Known for its eclectic collection of rare artifacts, peculiar trinkets, and items imbued with mystery, the shop draws adventurers, collectors, and dreamers alike.
Lyra & Lorn's Shop is the place where the Battle Mages can use their vouches to obtain amazing stuff! The first exclusive card that was introduced when the shop opened it's doors was the Mana Warden! The 4-mana dwarf is both a fighter and a cleric, with his new ability called Shield Ward. He will conjure a protective barriers of fire and life to shield the rebels from the legion’s magical attacks and artillery... basically giving Shield to the unit in front of him!
Fallin Enderbeard, a hill dwarf from a small hamlet in the Kingdom of Lyveria, is both a renowned priest and a formidable warrior. When Wilhelmdale rose against the Chaos Empire, he led his clansfolk to the city’s defense. With his warhammer in hand, Fallin fought through the enemy’s ranks, ultimately striking down their commander, a decisive blow that led to the legion’s defeat.
What's the secret formula for an unbeatable team? There's no magic trick... just knowledge, experience and a bit of luck! Wanted to prepare a strong team for a battle with 38 mana cap and the Lost Magic battle-rule... so I went for strong melee fighters and deadly rangers!
The summoner chosen for this battle was the Helios Matriarch, as her level let me use the Drybone Barbarian at level six! This impressive unite will be able to retaliate, deal crazy damage when enraged, and will benefit from the Shield given by the Mana Warden. More buff prepared, and my team was ready to rumble!
Hellios Matriarch: +1 Speed & +1 Gladiator
Drybone Barbarian: Melee with Enrage and Retaliate
Mana Warden: Melee with Shield Ward
Pelacor Conjurer: Support with Flying and Reflect Magic
Nimbledook Explorer: Support with Protect
Pelacor Arbalest: Ranged with Double-Strike
War Pegasus: Ranged with Flying and Shatter
My tactic was built around the Drybone Barbarian, bulking this behemoth with buffs! The support units were strategically placed to delay the attacks on the ranged units... and hopefully keep those alive enough! The War Pegasus made a strong start, dealing an attack that shattered Djinn Chwalla's armor!
The djinn wanted to flex it's muscles but his attack on the Drybone Barbarian not only enraged my bad boy... but made him retaliate! Challa was down in a blink! Everything was timed well, and my tank gone into berserker mode!
By the end of the second round was all clear... I was cruising towards the victory! I am not saying my opponent made a poor team selection, but that Venari Marksrat was pointless in the last position!
Brute force is good when your attacks hit the target ... but the Drybone Barbarian kept missing! This team didn't and it all ended after four rounds, when the Pelacor Arbalest dispatched two accurate arrows! See the full battle here!
It looked easy this time, but only because my tactic and team selection was spotless! The Mana Warden is a game-changing card, as the dude can make a beefy tank even harder to kill! What's your take on this new card?
