Hello community, there are some interesting card combos in the Splinterlands game, and it all depends on the ruleset for each battle, the Splinters and Mana available.
I usually only used to play with my cards, and would rent one or two cards to help in the daily battles. But my cards are only from the Edition Rewards and some from Chaos Legion, and since I've been participating in tournaments, I need competitive cards that help in the daily battles and tournaments.
So for that I decided to rent more cards, cards that I understand are important and try to keep them rented every day, so that I don't have to rent all the time and get used to using cards that are not mine.
In order not to lose everything in renting cards, I do a power exchange, in the sense that I rent some of my repeated cards or cards that I don't usually use, and in exchange I rent cards that I want in my deck to play.
As you can see from the image, I get 104,852 and spend 126,123 with the difference I spend 21,271 on renting cards but I get to increase the power of my deck in addition to much better cards.
My collection only allows me to play in Silver League II but I decided to level up and enter Silver League I because I can win some battles, finish the season with a good rating, but I lack strong cards and deck power to move up leagues, so with card rental I can handle my playing difficulties.
For this battle we had as ruleset Reverse Speed and Spreading Fury with good Mana capacity available.
As I was doing Focus Death I had the possibility to continue in this battle.
I could take into account the ruleset and decrease the Melee attack damage, but I chose Summoner Mimosa Nightshade which was less effective against Melee attacks but more complete.
To lead my team I chose Legionnaire Alvar, I like this card a lot because it has Void Armor ability and it matches well with any Splinter, because any kind of attack has to pass through the armor first, and combining it with cards with Resurrect ability gives a lot of security to the battle.
In this case, I don't have any Resurrect skill cards to combine with Death Splinter.
In the second position Djinn Murait, I had never used this card until it came out in a Pack, nor did I think it was very special, but now it is one of my favorite cards because of its Knock Out ability.
Knock Out and Stun skills were not something I was used to using, nor did I think it was important, until I saw them in practice.
Since then, they are very interesting combos that make the difference in battles, and with that I have been using a lot the Revealer card that has Stun ability and with its attack neutralizes the opponent's card and can not attack, and the consequent Knock Out ability causes double damage to cards that are in Stun mode, and I discovered this recently and I confess that I do not want anything else when I can use Death Splinter.
In fourth position Sand Worm has an excellent attack and in view of this set of rules would be among the first to attack in the battle. Having Sneak ability it would attack the last card of the opponent's formation.
In the last positions continue with Sneak attacks, to try to eliminate the opponent's last cards, while my front line cards had armor protection against attacks, plus I would apply Stun and Knock Out attacks which could create an advantage in the battle in eliminating the tank card and the cards in the last positions.
Seeing the opponent's formation overall the cards have plenty of speed and still have Speed Buff given by the Summoner, which is better for my formation to attack first in battle.
Starting the battle with the attack of my cards with Sneak ability I can eliminate the opponent's last card.
Then the perfect combo comes into play, Legionnaire attacks Serpent of Eld, then Revealer causes Enrage but applies Stun, and finally Djinn Murait as it has Knock Out ability, will cause double damage with its attack and eliminates Serpent of Eld.
When the opponent's turn comes to attack, Deeplurker as he has Opportunity ability will eliminate my last card, while Djinn Oshannus attack will only hit the armor of my Legionnaire tank.
My Sand Worm card starts round two and eliminates the opponent's Sand Worm card, and my tank combo kicks in again, Revealer applies Stun preventing Djinn Oshannus from attacking and Djinn Murait attacks doing double damage. Since I have Mimosa Summoner the opponent cannot use Tank Heal ability.
Starting round 3 the procedure continues without giving the opponent a chance to attack with his tank where Deeplurker ends up being eliminated and consequently the fight ends in the next round with my combo making a lot of difference in this battle.
With this battle I managed to increase my rank by 32 points, gain 4,503 Rshares and 3,534 Dec, a battle at the beginning of the season where it was important to move up in the Silver league.
Stun and Knock Out skills were not common for me to use in battles, but since the experience with Revealer I see that they are skills that make a big difference in battles.
In this case Revealer and Djinn Murait are an interesting combo, however since they have the same speed, the combo may not work if Djinn Murait attacks first in a round, because the Stun skill must first be applied for Knock Out to work.
But even if it doesn't work, just the fact that Stun skill prevents the opponent from attacking is already a great advantage.
