Let's Have a Discussion!
Is Kain Hace too OP? With its high magic damage and 2 great ability in Blast that can sweep clean an entire team to Reflection Shield will ensure Kain is protected from the attempt of the enemy to deal passive damage to it, it might be seems at first but in my opinion, it is not but let me know your opinion about this card. I think it is a great card but it is flawed enough to counter balance its good side. Kain Hace is slow, glass cannon making it very vulnerable to attacks from monsters with snipe ability. But to truly counter Kain Hace, we must first check the strategies where it can shine the most.
KAIN HACE
Edition: RIFT WATCHER 📘
Rarity: LEGENDARY ⚜️
Element: DEATH 💀
Abilities: BLAST, REFLETION SHIELD, REDEMPTION 💥🛡✔️
Best Ruleset for Kain Hace ✔️
First, let us check which ruleset will the the best for kain Hace, that way, we could think of ways to counter it in those scenarios.
Equal Opportunity
Wait, wait! Isn't it bad bad for Kain to face a monster with Opportunity? Then why are you saying that it should face a whole team filled with it?! Let me explain. In this ruleset, everyone has the Opportunity ability mean even Kain has it! Then you must be thinking, "Kain is slow, it will surely die even before it got to attack!" Of course you will need to use monster with Taunt! This is Equal Opportunity after all. Not only will Kain targets low HP monsters, the blast damage will also be utilized in its full efficiency.
Equalizer
In this ruleset, one of Kain's weaknesses is completely gone. It could now deal tons of damage while still having the survivability to take some hits. And once it was partnered up again with taunt, it will be very hard for the oppontent to win the match.
Fog of War
One of Kain's weakness, snipe ability, is now completely gone thanks to this ruleset. It can even now be placed on the back of your lineup since there will be no monsters with sneak ability threatening it.
Target Practice
Lastly is Target Practice. Yes, Kain will be also be in disadvantage here but if you were paying attention, all you need to do is add taunt and Kain will be able to deal a massive amount of damage without worrying as long as the Taunt user is alive. Just imagine facing Kain in this ruleset; a high damage glass cannon that will surely target your non mellee monster first while also dealing blast damage.
Best Abilities to partner up with Kain Hace ✔️
Now, let us check what kind of support will this monster need.
Taunt
This may be the most useful ability that you can use with Kain since it will almost redirect all attacks towards the user, keeping Kain safe from harms way.
Slow
This will be great for Kain as it will give a higher chance for it to attack sooner that the opponent, dealing tons of damage and might even be able to grab a kill or two thanks to the lowered speed that the enemy has.
Resurrect
This one is not as reliable as the first two abilities but It is still quite powerful since it is essentially giving a KO'ed monster a second chance. And with how powerful Kain's attack is, everything is possible.
Protect
Now, here is a more accessible you can give to Kain Hace specially if you play on a higher league. Since most of the snipers and opportunity attackers are Melee and Range, the additional shield will keep Kain alive for a long time. It is also quite easy to stack this buff up, making Kain more damage resilient.
Strengthen
Now, here is a buff that may be seen as insignificant but is quite strong on the contrary. Having an additional one HP is quite the buff for glass cannons like Kain. Just look at Serpentine spy. with the HP buff which Tarsa gives, it could stay on the fiend much longer, giving it more opportunity to deal more damage.
Swiftness
Swiftness is another one of those ability that can boost Cain's power by another level. Not only that higher level means sooner attacking turn but it also increases the monster's dodging capabilities, giving it more chance of survival!
Thoughts so far 🤔
So far, we could see that the best gameplay for Kain Hace is to have a teammate that will absorb or redirect all the damage away from it. Also, just by insreasing some of it's stats, mainly HP and/or Speed, It can be more dealier that before.
So, what should I do?! 🤔

▶️ Purpose ◀️
One of the biggest counter to Kain is the Death element itself. As you can see, it has tons of debuff that Kain Hace really hates like taunt that can re direct its attack, void ability that can reduce its magic damage output significantly and even health debuff, making it more inrange for some KO attacks.
But wait, there is still more!!! 😲

▶️ Purpose ◀️
This two is the main counter to Kain. With their superior speed, they can out speed most of the enemy monster, ensuring a quick KO with the help of the Snipe ability. And as the league goes higher, these two gains more powerful ability that will ensure your victory against Kain Hace! Now, Here is a game reply of mine, showing the principles that I've said in action: Click Here!
Final Thoughts 🤔
See can clearly see that Kain Hace will excel when it was partnered up with Taunt and if its health or speed is was buffed, giving it the chance to attack. With this in mind, I would recommend using monsters with Snipe ability to deal with Kain as quick as possible. Having Taunt, Forcefield and Refletion Shield also helps while Scatter Shots and Fury will help you dealing with it`s supports.
Now, how will you defeat this new card? Is there anything notable that I missed in this post? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment!
