Carrion Shade (Level 1)
Splinter | Death |
---|---|
Mana cost | 1 |
Edition | Chaos Legion |
Melee Attack | 1 |
Speed | 2 |
Health | 2 |
Rarity | Common |
I think Carrion Shade could be a nice cannon fodder if you have left 1 mana. It has 2 health and 2 speed, so it won't die instantly and it can dodge too.
It is a common chaos legion card therefore everyone has it because it is part of the basic cards. I personally do own a lvl 2 copy of it. As you can see in the table below it is a cheap card as a regural foil and as a gold foil. There are a lot of available copies at the moment.
Here comes the battle:
It was a brawl battle. Brawl is a tournament between guilds. I chose the novice Chaos Legion fray. So I was restricted to lvl1 Chaos Legion cards only. As you can see I had an interesting ruleset.
Rules:
Battle modifiers | Mana cap | Available splinters |
---|---|---|
Aim True | 20 | Fire |
Up close & personal | - | Water |
- | - | Earth |
- | - | Life |
- | - | Death |
- | - | Dragon |
So what did I chose to do?
For Summoner: Thaddius Brood it will decrease the enemy monsters health by 1 and their magic damage (if there is any) also by 1. I had other summoners besides this, but I chose Thaddius to reduce the health of my enemy's monsters.
Monsters:
- Cursed Windeku best (at least I think) widely available tank for Death splinter thanks to it's Thorns ability, and high health.
- Shadow Snitch as a kind of off tank. I mainly chose it thanks to the challenge and it fit nicely with the Even Stevens rule.
- Silent Sha-vi one of my favourite CL cards from Death splinter. High speed, decent damage combined with Sneak ability. If you can use melee it is a must.
- Carrion Shade it can fill the managaps and has 2 health 2 speed for a low cost.
Link to the battle
Did my strategy work?
Yes, I won the battle. It went easier than I thought. Even with the enemy's Demoralize ability my cards easily won the battle.
What will I try differently next time?
Given this ruleset I would not change my lineup due to the limited amount of available cards. I know that it was a risky tactic, but sometimes you have to risk to win.
Thanks for the reading, I hope you enjoyed, see you on the battlefield!
