A SHORT POEM
*He lends his hand in and out of the battlefield
walked in; Working broken armor; shield
Dealt with fixing; feeling as you've healed
the battle continues with rejuvenated protection
An infinite mode of resurrection
Process of damage fixing cycling like perpetual motion
causing irreversible damage to your foe's emotion
Aside from blades; shield could be Much more frightening
Cause healing and fixing could be fatal than actual fighting*
GOOD DAY HIVEFOLKS
I hope you are in good shape.Another week passed; many of us have taken a break for a few days off and now it’s a new week again and a new beginning of splinterlands weeklong art contest.
first of all, I want to congratulate the participants especially the winners of the previous contest, your works are truly wonderful and beautiful.
last week I failed to participate because I was too busy with my work, now I have a few days off so here I am again happy to participate in a this event.
this week my chosen character is Armorsmith. I really like this card. even if I can only play splinterlands once. this card will not be lost on my list
LORE
Raised hauling stones in the Quarries of Korlax, the Armorsmiths of Khymeria are considerably tougher than they appear. Even the burly Boatmen who work the shipyards can barely lift the hammer of a Khymian Armorsmith. Much to the dismay of the Order of the Silver Shield, their hammers are used more for repair than destruction. When summoned to battle, the Armorsmiths do plenty of damage, even without formal fighting skills.
TOOLS AND APPLICATION
tools: paper; pencil eraser and mobile phone
App: Autodesk sketchbook
THE PROCESS
Sketch and drafts
I always start my drawing with sketches and drafts; this way I can more easily visualize the image I want to portray;I can also easily erase or change the things I want to change; I also like the feeling of pencil while stroking the paper; the pressure and friction; also!,I don't want my work to be one hundred percent digital, I want my work to still have some natural and traditional touch. Then I imported it on Autodesk sketchbook app for tracing.
Tracing sketch
After I imported the sketch I started tracing the drawing; at the same time I started adding deatils even those without on the sketch.
Background
Next is background;I like to color the background first because I can more easily know what things will be covered at the back and float in front, it is very helpful for me on the process of colorization.
Colorization
This time I started coloring; I begin with skintone as it is one of the most important part of my subject.I continue this process along with some other details such as chlothe and his 🔨⚒️
Flame-Lights-Highlights
Same as line, colors and shadow lights is one of the most important element of visual art. It gives life to artwork. Imagine the eyes without shine it looks creepy. It also gives guidance for me when putting shadows. I can easily find where to put more darkness or shadow.
Shadows
After lights and highlights.I proceed to shadows this is also important for me because it gives depth to the image to make more three dimensional.
Finishing
Lastly,!after I put all the necessary elements and details. I move to some smaller details. I erased some unwanted scratches; I put additional line to be more visible; then I add some highlighs on the skin and other details on his hammer. Finally I put my sign.
That's that
I want to thank each and everyone for their contribution and continues improvement of the arts and for appriciating our beloved craft.through art We will continue to improve and share positivity to others. :)
