In the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to visit two beautiful states: South Carolina and North Carolina. It was a trip full of unforgettable moments, especially for the outdoor activities we enjoyed.

In South Carolina, every morning started with a running session. I was amazed at how many cool and perfect places to run. One of my favorites was Finlay Park in Columbia. This park has well-maintained trails and an amazing view of the lake. Running here was very refreshing, with the cool morning air and birdsong accompanying us. Another amazing place to run was Riverfront Park, also in Columbia. The trail follows the course of the Congaree River and offers wonderful views of the water and vegetation around it.

In addition to running, I really enjoyed exploring the forests of South Carolina. One of the most impressive places we visited was Jones Gap State Forest. Here, we hiked to see Rainbow Falls. The hike was somewhat challenging, but every step was worth it when we reached the falls. The water was falling from a great height, creating a rainbow in the mist. We stayed there for quite a while, just enjoying the beauty and tranquility of the place. We also visited Table Rock State Park, where we saw other waterfalls and enjoyed spectacular views of the mountains.

After South Carolina, we headed to North Carolina. Here, our first stop was Wrightsville Beach. We spent several days enjoying the sun, sea and sand. The weather was perfect throughout our stay, with sunny days and a gentle breeze. Every morning, we woke up early to watch the sunrise over the ocean. The colors of the sky were amazing, with shades of pink, orange and gold reflecting on the water.

One of the best parts of this trip was the company of my friends. We spent hours swimming in the ocean, playing volleyball on the beach. In the evenings, we had bonfires and sang thousands of songs with some of his friends' guitars under the stars. One of the most fun times was when we decided to rent surfboards. Although none of us was an expert, we had a lot of laughs trying to stand up on the waves.

Besides the beach, we also explored other interesting places in North Carolina. We went to Fort Macon State Park, which has an old fort and beautiful trails along the coast. Here, we learned about the history of the place and enjoyed the scenic ocean views. We also visited the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, where we saw a variety of marine life, from sharks to sea turtles.

One of the things I appreciated most about this trip was the opportunity to unwind and enjoy nature. Both South Carolina and North Carolina have incredible scenery and lots of outdoor activities. Each place we visited had its own beauty and charm, from the quiet trails of the parks to the lively beaches of the Atlantic Ocean.

This summer trip in 2017 was a wonderful experience that I will remember forever. South Carolina and North Carolina offered me the opportunity to explore new places, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with my friends. It was a trip full of laughter, adventure and peaceful moments, which I will always carry in my heart.

En el verano de 2017, tuve la oportunidad de visitar dos hermosos estados: Carolina del Sur y Carolina del Norte. Fue un viaje lleno de momentos inolvidables, especialmente por las actividades al aire libre que disfrutamos.

En Carolina del Sur, cada mañana empezaba con una sesión de running. Me sorprendió la cantidad de lugares frescos y perfectos para correr. Uno de mis favoritos fue el parque Finlay, en Columbia. Este parque tiene senderos bien cuidados y una vista increíble del lago. Correr aquí era muy refrescante, con el aire fresco de la mañana y el canto de los pájaros que nos acompañaba. Otro lugar increíble para correr fue el parque Riverfront, también en Columbia. El sendero sigue el curso del río Congaree y ofrece vistas maravillosas del agua y la vegetación a su alrededor.

Además de correr, disfruté mucho explorando los bosques de Carolina del Sur. Uno de los lugares más impresionantes que visitamos fue el bosque estatal de Jones Gap. Aquí, hicimos una caminata para ver las cascadas Rainbow. La caminata fue algo desafiante, pero cada paso valió la pena cuando llegamos a las cascadas. El agua caía desde una gran altura, creando un arcoíris en la niebla. Nos quedamos allí por un buen rato, simplemente disfrutando de la belleza y la tranquilidad del lugar. También visitamos el parque estatal de Table Rock, donde vimos otras cascadas y disfrutamos de vistas espectaculares de las montañas.

Después de Carolina del Sur, nos dirigimos a Carolina del Norte. Aquí, nuestra primera parada fue la playa de Wrightsville. Pasamos varios días disfrutando del sol, el mar y la arena. El clima fue perfecto durante toda nuestra estancia, con días soleados y una brisa suave. Cada mañana, nos despertábamos temprano para ver el amanecer sobre el océano. Los colores del cielo eran asombrosos, con tonos de rosa, naranja y dorado reflejándose en el agua.

Una de las mejores partes de este viaje fue la compañía de mis amigos. Pasamos horas nadando en el mar, jugando voleibol en la playa. Por las noches, hacíamos fogatas y cantamos miles de canciones con algunas guitarras de sus amigos bajo las estrellas. Uno de los momentos más divertidos fue cuando decidimos alquilar tablas de surf. Aunque ninguno de nosotros era un experto, nos reímos mucho intentando mantenernos de pie sobre las olas.

Además de la playa, también exploramos otros lugares interesantes en Carolina del Norte. Fuimos al parque estatal de Fort Macon, que tiene una antigua fortaleza y hermosos senderos a lo largo de la costa. Aquí, aprendimos sobre la historia del lugar y disfrutamos de las vistas panorámicas del océano. También visitamos el acuario de Carolina del Norte en Pine Knoll Shores, donde vimos una gran variedad de vida marina, desde tiburones hasta tortugas marinas.

Una de las cosas que más aprecié de este viaje fue la oportunidad de desconectar y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Tanto Carolina del Sur como Carolina del Norte tienen paisajes increíbles y muchas actividades al aire libre. Cada lugar que visitamos tenía su propia belleza y encanto, desde los tranquilos senderos de los parques hasta las animadas playas del océano Atlántico.

Este viaje de verano en 2017 fue una experiencia maravillosa que recordaré siempre. Carolina del Sur y Carolina del Norte me ofrecieron la oportunidad de explorar nuevos lugares, disfrutar de la naturaleza y pasar tiempo de calidad con mis amigos. Fue un viaje lleno de risas, aventuras y momentos de paz, que siempre llevaré en mi corazón.
