A few days ago I took a trip to the North of England. It's many years since I visited this part of the country.
The photo below is astonishing to me as it was pitch black when was it taken on an iPhone 10. It was barely visible.
I tried to get a photo with my dslr but it was far to dark.
The Angel of the North
This is the Angel of the North a massive sculpture by Antony Gormley. It sits atop a hillside on the A1 road in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England.
Completed in 1998, it is believed to be the largest sculpture of an angel in the world.

I didn't know it at the time but this turned into an epic adventure.

We got as far north as Holy Island Lindisfarne on the Northumberland coast just 67 miles short of Edinburgh in Scotland.

Each of these places have fascinating historic stories which will be interesting for you to read I hope. They blew my mind and this is just a fraction of the things photographed on this trip.
To all my friends rest assured I've fully recovered from Covid19.
