I was unsure wether I would be able to take some (much deserved) time off until the last minute... but it came true! Honestly, I would prefer to grab a plane anywhere, but this is a close second.
Back to the mountain! A small village at the base of continental Portugal's highest mountain, filled with memories and paths to the middle of nature. As usual, time will be too short.
Might as well make the most of it, right?
I arrived today and I was out in the fields shortly after, taking the cobwebs out of my bridge camera.
So many little details to capture! It felt great walking in nature, breathing fresh air, and enjoying some photography again. My feathered friends were chirping away, but the lighting wasn't that great, so I didn't even tried to get them on camera apart from a few shots.
But tomorrow, birdwatching and wildlife photography are the goals! Hope the weather is as sunny as today.
What it won't be for sure, is warm: it's freaking cold here! Well, at least to portuguese standards. Going out for an after dinner coffee meant walking into a misty street and near zero temperatures. Way better to enjoy some reading, and relax near the fireplace.
Let's see what tomorrow will bring! 🙂
