Attended a religious festival

in #travel2 years ago

First of all, I wish everyone a very happy Durga Puja. This Durga Puja is our biggest religious festival. Two months before the start of Durga Puja, people start counting the days when this Durga Puja will come. Then to top it all off when Durga Puja begins, it is celebrated with great fanfare for five consecutive days in various parts of our West Bengal.

Happy Mahanavami today. From Shashti we started the pilgrimage. Every year I travel a little more with my friends, but this year I decided to visit the puja with my family. This year on Saptami, I went out with my parents and grandfather to visit the puja mandaps around us.

There is a lot of crowd while visiting the puja pandal, so I thought before the puja that I will not let my parents go to see the puja alone, I will go around and show everything with them. On the day of Saptami, we went out in the afternoon to visit the puja pandals in the surrounding area. We started meeting from Barasat.

First get down at Barasat station and walk a short distance to see the puja pandal of Sethpukur Park Club. After spending some time there, we went to South Sethpukur to visit the puja pandal of Sarvajanin Puja Samiti. Then we have to walk a long way from there to see the puja of Barasat Association Club. After seeing the pooja pandal of Barasat Association Club, we went to Madhyamgram Chowmatha by bus.

Then you have to start walking again. After a short walk we came across the pooja pandal of Basunagar Association Club. Finally went to see the Pooja of Rotary Club of Madhyamgram Metropolitan. Thus, on that day we visited five puja pandals very well and tried to give the photographs taken from those puja pandals and description about those pandals...

Kolkata's Durga Puja has been recognized as a UNESCO heritage site.

Every year a very beautiful pooja is held at this Sethpukur Park Club. They celebrate this Durgotsavam every year with a different theme. During the rainy season, this club's Durgotsava is fairly well organized. Barasat is also famous for Kali Puja. In Barasa, Durga Puja is not celebrated as much as in Kolkata.

Still, the theme of Sethpukur Park Club fascinates Barasat residents every year. This time it was no different. This year's Durga Puja pandal has been created with a very beautiful theme. This year their theme was easy reading. Different things from Sahagapath books read in childhood have been highlighted in this year's puja pandal...
