The CTPSB project was born in september 2020, more than 4 years ago. At the beginning, it was meant to be a curation account for CTP community that was owned by the members of the community. As a tokenized account everybody could take part in the project, own part of it and participate in it's value increase.
The project was very much alive and it developed very well over time. We run challenges and projects and even created NFT's on the wax blockchain. Until in 2023 the CTP community started to disapear. This forced us to rebrand the project in October 2023 and we have tried to bring life back to it but it was a downhill battle. We introduced many changes that made the project more sustainable.
Dwindling community
It's difficult to give value to something when the people that should profit from this value are hardly around anymore. This is especially true for the NFT side of the project. Every 3 months, we distribute dividends to people who own CTPSB NFT's and claim them. The last time we did it, only 23% of the hold tokens or 7 users claimed their dividends....
No transactions on Wax
The NFT's are on the WAX blockchain and it has become much more difficult to create an account on WAX. It's not possible to do it for free anymore. This means that new people struggle to get to it and it means that the NFT market has become dry. Most of the people who owns CTPSB NFT's are not active on WAX anymore and this translates into the fact that no CTPSB NFT was traded since July 2023. In 2024, there were two transactions where the project actually offered to buy back NFT's. The whole thing is stale and I don't see how this could evolve.
A lot of work to pay 7 people
I have the feeling that I do a lot of work for fewer and fewer people and it's not satisfactory for me. I have created around 12 posts in 2024 for these NFT dividends and I ended up doing that to pay dividends to 7 to 10 people.
I've been trying to come up with a solution that was fair for everybody. I want to reduce my work load and I want at the same time that people get something back for their NFT's.
The solution for CTPSB NFT's
My conclusion is that it's not worth to try to develop these NFT's. They are the remainder of how the project was a couple of years ago. In my opinion, it can't really be developed since it's complicated for new people to create a WAX account and of the owner of NFT's not many are active anymore. Instead of continuing this downhill battle, I would prefer to put an end to the NFT side of CTPSB.
Instead of creating tons of posts and making distributions to a few people every 3 months, I will make one big payment to all NFT holders in 2025. This payment will be worth the dividends not for 1 year but the value of 10 years of dividends. This will be the last ever dividend payment to CTPSB NFT holders.
FAQ
How much will each holder get?
It's not easy to give a value to each of these NFT's because finally they depend on what you can do with them. The only value that they have is given by the dividends that we pay. We have calculated how much dividends we have paid this year, including also the dividends that haven't been paid and went back into the pot. The total of paid dividends (weekly dividends to collector NFT holders and quarterly dividends to all holders) was 72 Hive in 2024.
This means that the payout will be 10 times this amount or 720 Hive in 2025. For each NFT, holders will get the following amount:

Who will get a payment?
This time, we won't ask for a claim, we will pay the value to all the accounts that are linked to a hive account. The base for the payout is the snapshot here that we created to know who owns the NFT's. When the NFT's change hands after this, we won't take it into account.

When will the payment be made?
In order to pay the dividends, we have to make a power down of the account that funds the dividends. It will take therefore about 13 weeks to get there. I believe that the payment will take place around the end of February, as soon as we have enough funds for the payment.
How will the payment be made?
People will get the payment of these dividends in the form of Hive tokens automatically to their accounts.
Will there be any other dividend payments in 2025?
Since we need to start the power down immediately, there is no more income generated by the account and we can therefore not pay any dividends anymore in 2025 a part from the big one.
Will there be other payment related to NFT's in the future?
After the big dividend payment, we will consider the NFT's to be finshed as a project and there will never be any dividend payment anymore.
Do I need to do something with the NFT?
You can do whatever you want with the CTPSB NFT's, there is no need to send it to us. You can either keep it or burn it.
What will happen with the unused Hive on the account?
There will be about 150 Hive left on the account that finances the NFT dividends. This hive will be added to the burn account of CTPSB and it will help increase the burn rate and the APR of the CTPSB token.
