The Liotes Pots explained

The Liotes Pots explained.jpg

The Liotes project is quite complex and we are doing plenty of different things. Today, we would like to explain how we finance our different sub-projects.

What is a pot?

With the Liotes project, we have a great mechanism which is the dividends payments linked to delegations to the liotes.voter account. When we want to finance something, the only thing that we have to do is to create an account, make sure that it has the necessary hive power and then delegate it to the liotes.voter. We then get daily dividends in the form of LEN tokens that we can use to finance our subprojects. Since the Liotes project started, we have built more and more such pots...

The Burning Pot

This was the very first pot that we created and it's on the @liotes account itself. This account grows with post rewards and also with witness rewards from our hive witness. At the moment, this account has more than 6'600 Hive Power that are delegated to the @liotes.voter account. 100% of the LEN tokens that we receive every day are burnt or, when we have a burn break, added to the reward pool that we are funding.

The Liotes Ranking Pot

Every month we distribute LEN tokens to the top 15 of the Liotes ranking. These prizes are financed with a pool on the @ourpick account. This account is funded by the @ourpick posts that we do on a daily basis. At the moment, there are 3'500 Hive Power on this account.

The Reward Pool Pot

To finance the reward pool linked to the diesel pool LEN:LENM in the future, we have created the account @liotes.learn which has around 650 Hive Power today. This account is funded by the referral income of different websites that we want to promote through the liotes concept, an online course to onboard people to hive.

The Liotes Power Up Challenge Pot

The liotes power up challenge is a yearly contest where we follow the Hive Power of the members of this community. The prize pot of this challenge is financed by the delegated hive power on the account @liotes.one which has 280 Hive power today. This pot finances the prizes to all the people who have a positive sold in hive power at the end of the year. This pot is financed by the comments under our posts and also by some author rewards of posts related to this challenge.

Growing Pots for sustainable subprojects

The great thing about the mechanism of these pots is that they grow in size. Each pot has an income source that increases it's hive power over time. In addition to that, all the hive power grows at the organic rate of about 3%. With growing hive power, the income generated by it is growing as well. It allows to have a very sustainable way to finance these different subprojects.

Not limited to Liotes

The great thing is that everybody can create such pots for themselves or their project. You just need to have an account, feed it with hive power and delegate it to the liotes.voter account...

That's the definition that we have in mind lol.

Thanks for sharing this. New concept for me

Happy you learned something new :-)

The "pot" concept is pretty straightforward and effective! I find it interesting that the largest 'pot' is for BURNING! !LOLZ I hope that the @liotes.one pot will grow, as it would be nice to continue having LEN tokens distributed as liquidity rewards next round. !BBH

We try to make all the pots grow and we also have other income sources for the reward pool linked to the LEN:LENM pool.

we also have other income sources for the reward pool

That is good to know. Very pleased with how it's going so far! !BBH

Interesting way to generate income.
Will work on generating my own pots, thanks for the insight.

It's not rocket science but it works quite well to feed these different subprojects :-)

That's a perfect explanation of Liotes' project. Thanks for sharing. I'll recommend these principles, someone, to the gentleman who overtook me in the ranking. 😎

Thanks for the feed-back! It's quite a simple system but it works pretty well.

It's a good mechanism for growing together. I hope it'll grow even further. tbh, it's confusing to have many pots like that 😂. !LOL

Good thing that you can keep with all of those pots 🔥 !PIZZA

Don't tell me, you can't imagine how often I send tokens from one account to another. I have check-lists to keep things under control lol,

yes, I can't imagine and always wondering about someone who can manage many accounts like that 😂. One account is already more than enough for me 🤣. !LOLZ

Thanks for the update! Personally I prefer to stick to one account so I track my pots using spreadsheets.

Well, that's another way of dealing with it. For me it wouldn't work because I'm bad at keeping spreadsheets tidy :-)

I have to admit that I hadn't noticed that Liotes had so many things and that he participated in most of them.

You are a very active Liotian (inhabitant of Liotes) ;-)

I like how you organize these pots. Liotes is one of the projects that reliably and regularly keeps community and investors up to date about its numbers, and that is possible partially because you have a well-thought structure behind.

We realized early on that it's very easy to get very much confused with all these accounts. At the beginning we created plenty of accounts for tribe curation and then we started to use these accounts in other ways. It's not always easy to stay on top of things but with @ph1102 we are very meticulous. He works with some accounts that I don't touch and I use some that he doesn't use. Like that we have shared control but each has a domain where he is responsible for and it works quite well.

which has around 650 Hive Power today

is it the one that you generate from he recent project on the faucet web? well, that is something that we can cheer on, it certainly generates quite a lot of funds.
awesome.

Delegate Hive Tokens to Farm $LOLZ and earn 110% Rewards. Learn more.

There is a part from the faucet project but we also realized that we still had some steem and we transferred it to this account :-)

It's nice to see all the pots and where the funds will go. It makes it easy to understand and keep track of.

We decided to go with separate account for each of these pots exactly to keep things tidied and well understandable.

The way you guys put it really makes it sound easy for one to accumulate and grow wealth over here on HIVE. You should pitch this on the Liotes website. It might serve to attract some new people over! 👍

The whole course that I've built is based exactly on this principle. So hopefully it will attract some people :-)
