The secret of my coffee experiment

In the final weeks of the academic term in high school, I was assigned an activity related to the environment day, so I was asked to make a home sprout well, as I am a coffee fanatic and I love coffee so much, I wanted to know how to grow this plant.

The truth is I had no idea how I could germinate a plant of this type, so I went to an agricultural store where I asked to buy some cultivable coffee seeds to see how that sprout was born, it happens that coffee has a germination process that lasts between 20 days and a month, so I placed in a small pot of soil all the indicatives and placed the seed there to leave it outdoors, but as the apartment where I live I do not have enough space, I went and left it in a farm near my house that belongs to some friends, then I arranged a place apart from the other plantations in the place where they have the seedbed of plants and I put my small jar of mud hoping that the greenhouse helps it to grow in a better way.

A few days later I brought the germinated seed, it was already starting to grow and when I had it in the residence I realized that it was expanding strangely fast, the growth periods of the plant should be between 15 and 20 days, but in a very accelerated way it spread, even not as a coffee sprout but with characteristics of a vine, I even doubted at some point that this was the same seed that I planted, but then I decided to wait to see what happened, who knows, and I was lucky enough to discover some kind of strange coffee or a plant that gave golden grains as in the famous story of the giant.

The vine began to expand rapidly and in a short time it took over the entire balcony of my apartment, but suddenly something happened, and it completely changed its structure changing the leaves to brown, then it began to dry and turn to dust, I could swear that it was almost as if the bush was becoming coffee powder ready to brew without going through all the previous processes.

That dust in a matter of minutes spread through the environment in front of my eyes and was disintegrating through the window with the breeze until there was no trace of the plant that completely covered the view of my balcony.

Soon after I learned from the media that a new disease was unusually hitting the city, people talked about dark brown dust that floated in the air and generated an epidemic as a kind of very abrasive fungus that affected much of the nearby population producing an eye infection, which was a public health situation that began to be addressed without knowing what the origin was.

But, not everything stopped there, in a few weeks appeared large insects like butterflies with some kind of mutation that had the same dust, brown on their wings and also burned the skin of the people they touched causing all kinds of problems and a real calamity in the best style of the plagues described in old books, at that moment my mind began to tie up ends and still with disbelief I thought if all that could somehow have its origin in my high school experiment and that strange coffee plant.

So I set out to investigate much more about the possible causes, being attentive at all times to what scientists and people who talked about conspiracies were saying until I found information about a supposed small meteorite that exploded in the atmosphere, and it is presumed that its fragments could fall in a specific area, I do not want to say anything, but that area corresponds exactly to the same place where I left the coffee seed to germinate, so now I just hope that no one discovers that my first test as a coffee grower ended in such a disaster.

I'm a scientist apocalypse haha, very good story bro, especially the decenlace of how the plant generated chaos, congratulations.

Haha! I guess you made the right decision there! Some things are better left unsaid:)

Quite the disaster indeed. The experiment didn't go so well lol.
