Convoy NZ 2022 - Day 1 in Wellington

in #vyb3 years ago

You guys on the other side of the world probably already know more about this than the kiwis who only watch MSM, but here's some footage from the ground.

On Sunday, 6th February, Waitangi Day here in NZ, one convoy left the top of the North Island, and another left the bottom of the South, and headed towards Parliament. By Monday night, large groups were gathered in Picton at the top of the South and Palmerston North, a couple of hours north of the capital.

The first of the North Island convoy arrived in the capital late morning. A friend who was part of a group welcoming them with banners said that she waved for an hour and then they got word that the remaining convoy was still 20km long. Given that NZ is a small country, that's quite significant.

Some of the South Island convoy have got across the Cook Strait by ferry and arrived in Wellington Tuesday night, but many others have set up camp in Picton. That's home to @andysantics48 - maybe she can tell us more about what's happening there?

I went down to Parliament Tuesday afternoon with some freedom friends and took some photos. Here's a few of them.

Love the (completely accidental) colour coordinated juxtaposition in this one.

This next picture doesn't show how many people were really there. It was still fairly early on, while many were still on the road.

There has been all sorts of action overnight and today, but that can wait till the next post.

But if you're hanging out for more, I came across this nice little vid of day 1 in Picton

Freakin' Awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today's report is rather more sobering though. Just put up an update. x

It is WONDERFUL to see this spreading around the world, and I am so proud to be a Canadian right now. My national pride had taken a hit the last 2 years, as it seemed that way too many Canadians were incapable of understanding what was going on, and seemed content or complacent with watching our country become an Apartheid system.

But suddenly something changed, and people started waking up and making a statement. I LOVE our Truckers! I love the other Canadians who are supporting our truckers.
I love the people of other nations, including New Zealand, who are doing the same and telling their captors that they want FREEDOM!

Lovely to see you! I have a mixture of emotions today. So proud of the people who are there on the ground standing up for truth. But so ashamed of the government, the police who were in there bullying a couple of hours ago, the shills who are trying to undermine the movement. Aiming to write more soon about what has happened in the last 24-48 hours.

Electronic-terrorism, voice to skull and neuro monitoring on Hive and Steem. You can ignore this, but your going to wish you didnt soon. This is happening whether you believe it or not. https://ecency.com/fyrstikken/@fairandbalanced/i-am-the-only-motherfucker-on-the-internet-pointing-to-a-direct-source-for-voice-to-skull-electronic-terrorism

This video from the Wellington protest has a lot of great B&W photos:

So proud to see all you Kiwis standing up against tyranny, and the Canadians too.
Over the past two years nearly all governments aside from a few(Japan and Sweden come to mind) have become tyrannical and began imposing state-rule like the West never thought possible. I'm someone who has been expecting this(some might call me a conspiracy-theorist), but even I couldn't believe it was happening like this and to all of us.

I've heard a lot of people justify getting the shot to save their jobs. They say "I've got children, a family to provide for.", but the reality is if we don't put these governments(and corporations that often control our govt's, pharmaceutical conglomerates especially) BACK IN THEIR PLACE then what kind of future will we hand to the children?
And if we do get the results we're looking for, don't rest assured. Be ever watchful because this sort of thing doesn't happen by accident. Whether they seized an opportunity or caused this on purpose, they were far too eager to throw aside human rights and dignity, hell even morality and all compassion.

Stand-up, and be counted among the dissidents.

Yes, time to stand up and be counted. The police have shown their true colours in NZ today :-(

I don't know anything about NZ police, but if they are anything like police in the US they are blindly loyal to each other and not to the people whom they serve.
They will use the excuse that they are just following orders, and give no thought to the fact that after WWII that was the excuse so many SS officers gave. It did not matter then, and shouldn't matter now. They need to follow their conscience if they know what they're enforcing is wrong.
The most shameful displays of police I've seen since Covid started were in Australia and Canada.

Yes, Australia was particularly alarming as they are our near neighbours. Yesterday there were some horrifying instances of police brutality. But today they stayed right back. I think that we are a small country and although some of the police showed themselves to be bullies, particularly targetig the women and children, many were very disturbed by what they saw. Every day has had a different flavour, and I'll keep trying to report each day.
