Snow as an air purifier

If I hadn't read a gloating post a few days ago about how London was hotter than Malaga, I would have thought that the situation going on here in this part of the country where I live is completely messed up. Because, after the great cold and snow everywhere, for the last one week it has been snowing mainly in the south, which, as you can imagine, is totally illogical. Not that there can't be snow here, on the contrary, there is, and years ago there was a snowpack accumulating and lingering here too, but since it hasn't happened in recent years, the fact that it was mainly snowing here now was highly unusual, I would say. Then again, it might be funny, but even though I can't stand snow and cold, I was happy about it this time because I imagined that the snow was somehow purifying the air, lol. Because, as I said before, very close by, a few kilometers from here, there are two plants that are competing to see who pollutes the air more than the other.
There were days before it snowed when I couldn't air out the bedroom in the morning because there was a suffocating smell of burnt plastic and chemicals outside. But when the snow fell, that smell disappeared. Well, it's because the winds have reversed, I guess, but let me keep thinking that snow cleans the air.😆
