Chinese New Year is almost approaching and we have been busy for a year-end party. The local government in our city declared no class yesterday because of the religious group Iglesia ni Cristo rally for peace, so we took the opportunity to go out and do some shopping at SM mall.
It is the most visited mall here in our city, and we like to visit here to do window shopping, relax, and chill because of its cold air conditioning. This is the nearest hangout place for my family that just takes a 15-minute ride on a jeepney from our home.
Malling is my escape getaway from household chores at home and from keeping on working online. But this time I am saving a lot and just bought some school supplies for my kids. Good thing that there is a nearby food stall for masses, and would you believe that I only spend 200 pesos, or around 3.5 HBD, on a meal for the 5 of us?
If your budget is tight, this is the right meal that only costs 200 pesos. We call the food as proven, as it is an internal part of a chicken, and it's famous here in our city. I am not sure if it is also available in the other part of the Philippines.
I used to be a street vendor of this proven food before and during pandemic days. Selling online, selling food, and, of course, Hive posting have become my savior from the pandemic crises at that time.
My kids wanted to shop more at SM Mall, but I told them we do not have funds yet. Maybe next time I can buy some new stuff for them. My purpose for getting inside the SM Department Store is for window shopping. Honestly, I am tempted to buy a pair of sandals, but I said that it's not necessary because I have some important things to do with my funds, like my house renovation next month.
