I hope you are well or are trying to be well. It's still hot and I'm getting a bit hot. Cold drinks and the fan aren't helping again, but that doesn't stop second-hand finds, does it? Especially if they're old-school crystals like these.

I don't know why old crystals are more beautiful than the new type of gold coloured vases or things like that. I was talking to my mom today and she reminded me of the crystals I'm about to show you. And then I thought of this lovely community that Nabi showed me.

I think everyone here loves beautiful second-hand finds and that's exactly what I came up with.

I have three different objects. The first is a large vessel.

Although it looked pretty solid overall, I actually came across a crack while running my hand over it, but it was still in pretty good condition.

With this tiny crack, we were able to bargain a little bit for a discount on the price. The woman who wanted to get rid of us in the bazaar crowd left this piece to us for 250 TL (7.34 USD) instead of 300 (8.81 USD).

The next piece is the ones that look like a set but are not actually a set. According to my mom, when crystals were made in the past, they rarely used different patterns. Therefore, it is quite easy and inexpensive to turn similar things into sets.

This pair was absolutely perfect. The one on the left is a real sugar bowl and the one on the right is more like a keyfob. We bought them for 200 TL (5.87 USD) each and they were all from different sellers. There were a lot of similar things in different sellers.

I think we did a great job for 650 TL (19.08 USD) in total. Now 650 TL is not enough for a meal out. That's why I'm happy.

I hope we can find such opportunities again next time. In addition, the income of this bazaar is collected for the education expenses of the girls in the orphanage of Silivri Municipality. Therefore, when I shop here, if I am not in a difficult situation, I do not push for a discount.

Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Havalar hâlâ sıcak ve ben pişiyorum resmen. Soğuk içecekler ve fan yardımcı olmuyor yine ama bu ikinci el buluşlara engel değil, değil mi? Özellikle de böyle eski tip kristallerse eğer.

Bilmiyorum neden eski kristaller yeni tip altın varaklı vazolar ya da bu tarz eşyalardan daha güzel geliyor. Bugün annemle konuşurken bana size birazdan göstereceğim kristalleri hatırlattı. Sonra da aklıma Nabi'nin bana gösterdiği bu sevgili topluluk geldi.

Sanırım buradaki herkes güzel ikinci el buluntuları bayağı bir seviyor ve ben de tam olarak bunlarla geldim.

Elimde 3 farklı obje var. Birincisi geniş bir kap.

Genel olarak bayağı sağlam görünse de aslında elimi üzerinde gezdirirken bir kırığa rastladım ama buna rağmen oldukça iyi bir durumdaydı.

Bu minik kırıkla birlikte fiyatında indirim için biraz pazarlık yapabildik. Kermes kalabalığında bizi başından atmak isteyen kadınsa bu parçayı bize 300 yerine 250 TL'ye bıraktı.

Sonraki parça ise set gibi dursalar da aslında set olmayanlar. Zamanında kristaller yapılırken çok nadir farklı desen kullanıyorlarmış annemin dediğine göre. Bu yüzden de benzer şeyleri set hâline getirmek oldukça kolay ve maliyetsiz.

Bu ikili ise tamamen kusursuzdu. Soldaki tam bir şekerlik sağdaki ise daha çok anahtarlık gibi. Bunların tanesı 200 TL olacak şekilde aldık ve hepsi farklı satıcılardandı. Benzer şeyler çok fazla vardı farklı satıcılarda.

Bence toplamda 650 TL'ye harika bir iş çıkardık. Şimdi 650 TL dışarıda bir yemek parası etmiyor. Bu yüzden mutluyum.

Umarım bir dahaki sefere yine böyle fırsatlar bulabiliriz. Ayrıca bu kermesin gelirleri Silivri Belediyesi'nin bünyesinde bulunan yetimhanedeki kız çocuklarının eğitim masrafları için toplanıyor. Bu yüzden buradan bir alışveriş yaptığımda ben de zor durumda değilsem eğer indirim için zorlamıyorum.
