Hope everyone is well.
'Last Red Rose of the Season' paintings are based on the delightful red David Austin rose, 'Munstead Wood '.
This rose was a splendid model in the painting of three rather large Christ-mas cards.
The 'bird' in the first painting (do you see him...loosely rendered in the right hand corner) was not anticipated....as a result a second painting was quickly in the works to see if a bird could be developed and integrated into the flower....and then painted one more time....resulting in three completed paintings, each a little different and yet their own painting.
Let this post be my Christ-mas card to Hive this year. ----Thank you for your participation in the comments here at Bleujay's, dialoguing with regard to the Principles/Timeless Truths....I could not ask for more...thank you!
