Hello to all our friends out there. It's me again @chuch.
And today I want to share with you my Sunday walk yesterday. Here for us, Sunday is a Market Day. All of us here, even our neighbours, go to the market to buy what we need for the whole week.
Well, yesterday we went to the market with my loved ones because they wanted to help me carry what I would buy. After all, our tricycle couldn't go out due to the typhoon and the road construction is not yet finished. Except for not being able to get out of the tricycle, the rain has no plans to stop.
Look at our road is very muddy.
And also our feet look like this because of the very muddy way. 😁😁
When we arrived at the market, the first thing we went to was the store selling pork meat, chicken, and beef meat were wanted fish, but unfortunately, it was a bit expensive, and there were only a few choices because of the typhoon. Because the fish is quite expensive, we stopped here at pork meat and bought it to cook something that can be used in the soup because the weather is very cold.
And after we bought it, we took shelter because the rain got a little stronger. And even if it rains, we just enjoy the weather and take pictures.
And when the rain eased a bit, we immediately left to go shopping for other things we needed.
And because it's Sunday, many vendors come from the mountains and they only come down here every Sunday to sell their products.
As you enter, you will immediately see the tobacco store. Many senior citizens buy there because they prefer it to cigarettes. And the price is less than the price of cigarettes.
On the other side is the store of mugs, buckets, bowls, ladles, spoons, pots, forks, plastic plates and everything needed in the kitchen, they have them there.
And here I am at the dried fish store. Since we can't buy fresh fish because it's expensive, I decided to buy dried fish. As far as I knew dried fish is still fish.😁😁 I bought it here because the price is relatively low, there are many choices and the owner is kind.
And, of course, after we bought dried fish, I immediately went to my favourite egg and oil store. Here the owner couple is kind, and their prices are less than 5 pesos than other stores. So people come back to this store again and again.
And I also went to the store for garlic and red onions, fruits and others. I have been a customer here for a long time since my daughter is still young, so I bought it here until now that my daughter has become a young lady. And also the owner became my friend. The owner here is kind - good at entertaining customers and most of all every Christmas they give something to their customers as their way of thanking each of their customers.
Is this the same thing you look for in a store?
And, of course, about the grocery. I want this shop because it is the oldest grocery store in our area. If you look at it, it doesn't look like a store; once you get inside, there are lots of groceries displayed. They do wholesale here and also have retail. The price here is really low and what I like the most here is that before the customer comes out, they have a checker to check if your grocery item is complete.
Do you also like this style of store with a checker?
I have also once bought from another store, and it's sad that when I get home, something is missing from what I bought due to the salesperson forgetting to put the item in a plastic bag. It's too much of a hassle in terms of time and extra expense for the tricycle fare to go back to the store and complain that something is missing from the purchased groceries.
Have you ever encountered missing something you bought? It's so hassle. Isn't it?
And that's all I bought necessary for our whole week.
And after we bought everything we needed. We immediately go home.
Our public market is not big but you can buy everything you need.
How was your Sunday? Please share with us.
That's all about my Sunday. And I hope you like what I shared. And thank you so much.
Bye 👋 👋 👋
