This post is not financial advice. if you decide to follow what I am doing you do so at your own risk.
I made a mistake when doing a curation experiment on my curation account. This "mistake' isn't necessarily a bad thing but it was a mistake in the context of my personal strategy.
I wasn't thinking when I joined a trail and did not choose the "fixed" voting weight option. This was not my first time joining a trail but I missed this part when setting up in a new trail. The default is "scale" and that means essentially that you will follow the voting weight of the trail according to the percentage you select. If you choose 100% power and the vote trail is at 50% your vote is at 50%. that's the basics.
There is nothing wrong with this. It is a strategy but I wanted to vote with 100% power. I was wondering why I wasn't getting the results I had planned on. Then i discovered my simple mistake.
I have since fixed this and will see after a few weeks how much of a difference it makes in my curation rewards.
I accidentally am running an A/B test of sorts.
