An early morning start as I couldn't sleep...

in #hive-1949138 days ago

I woke up this morning around 5.30am, but I couldn't get back to sleep, looking out the window it looked sunny, and seeing as I am on holiday, I decided to get up and watch the sunrise over the north sea.

Equipped with my camera, filters and tripod, I thought I'd do some long exposure photography, there's some great rocks on this beach as well as strange structures, the sky however was phenomenal, there was a rain storm out to see and with the light from the sun, it made the sky glow, there was also a bit of a fog bank, and when the sun hit the sea, you could see fog rising, it kind of looked like steam coming off the water.

I am absolutely loving these shots, one of the reasons I wanted to get a DSLR was for this sort of photography, the sea was kind of rough, so the ND1000 I was using did the job perfectly.

I really don't know what this structure is, it always seems to be in the wather and what looks like the caged ladders seem too high to climb up to, but it does add for some great photography, I call this shot three little birds.

You can see the fog lifting from the sea's surface if you look towards the wind turbines.

It was such a great morning for photography, although the wind was freezing, it was nice to get back to the caravan for a nice warm cup of tea.

I really hope you like these shots, thenks for reading and all the best :-)
