The discussion starts with the current market in both stocks and cryptocurrencies. The crypto market is still stagnant despite the stokes are in upward movements form last week. The expected interest rate cut by Federal Reserve's in September and that has been created a positive effect in market. However they express their concern about the economic situation and highlighted how the people find it difficult to afford basic necessity items like like groceries due to inflation. The typical grocery items cost three time just in few years. The Khal still uncertainty about the market's reaction to news about potential of 50 basis point interest rate cut in September. They believing it to be a political narrative rather than an actual economic trend. The discussion shifted towards the crypto market, specifically Bitcoin and Ethereum and highlighted the all time highs by Bitcoin. Despites the Bitcoin touches the all time highs but still Ethereum and other altcoins are not in action. Khal shared his investment strategy in crypto and emphasizing the importance of holding onto coins. Despite the holding coins is important but take profits at certain points is also important. For here the conversation shifts towards the Leo.
The team discussed about the upcoming launch of the shorts feed on the Inleo platform and express his excitement about the new features. The Khal shares the information on new UI which is feels similar to popular social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. They also reveals the mechanism of adds on Inleo. The adds will also be integrated into the shorts feed. The official launch will happened after the team fixes some technical issue. Khal shows his confidence on shorts feed and will be heavily utilized and increase the activity on platform. The adds on shorts may be a video or images with text and links will shown in full screen in the feed while scrolling. As they will capture the entire screen so they will be most expensive adds on platform. Khal shared the thoughts when asked a question if the shorts can be without showing the face. The Khal clarify that its not necessary to show face on video, and even the users are free to showcasing hobbies or interests. The time parameters for shorts are between 5 and 60 seconds.
The discussion shits towards the AI generated content. The Khal acknowledges the rise of AI-generated YouTube channels and shorts, and shares an idea for a news-to-shorts spot. The idea is to generate the video using the AI by inputting the articles. The Khal emphasizes the importance of labeling AI-generated content and allowing the community to police plagiarism and misrepresentation. Khal also shared his views on Hive Watchers and their potential over-policing of content.
The team discussed the benefits of Inleo platform for Hive ecosystem and highlighted the engagement aspect. The team shared that the 15% of all comments on Hive originate from Leo and all this happened because of the threads. They also share that their main focus is on earning and distributing the Leo rewards. Khal also shared the idea of changing the blog reward for Hive to Leo only and and using Hive as a database. They also highlight that it is difficult for policing as the volume of the content produced is more. They encourage uses to male the platform more enjoyable and create the shorts a a to have fun on platform. They suggest to use the platform as opportunity to record and share the videos for their profession also. Khal share the example of one video he shared for twitter. Even the video was recoded form twitter but still he take care and give credit to original content creator. He also praise taskmater for his contributions to the community.
Khal share the tutorial and shows step by step procedure of uploading the short on platform using the mobile a well as desktop. Khal also explain the mechanism and what is going on behind when a used upload a video. The process is not as simple as it seen. The 3speak platform allow the video content when it posted in long form post only. So when a used upload and post a video then in backend it has been published on 3speak using a leoshort account. The Inleo use the 3speak embodied link on the thread posted by user. The user published the shorts is the beneficiary for the 3speak long form post. When someone up votes the shorts then the upvotes get diverted to the 3speak post and the rewards as beneficiary will come back to the short publisher. This allows users to upvote shorts within the thread feed without having to leave the page to visit the blog post containing the short. So this process allows shorts to be posted on multiple platforms simultaneously.
The Khal also discussed the potential of the platform's "Only Leos" feature, which allows authors to set up a paywall for their content, including shorts. This feature allow only subscribers to see the content. This will be additional form of monetization.
Khal also express his views on copyright infringement in relation to shorts and clarify that it should not be a significant issue as long as the original credit is given and the platform is decentralized.
