Greetings family and friends today I will show you how I cut and sew a straight gown with a free hand
Here I have my Ankara material, lining, stone, zip, and my dull-face material.
First thing to do is to fold my material by two to remove the down part of the gown for the front part after that I place the front part on the other side of the material and give out my two inches allowance for my zip, and cut it out just as seen in the photo.
Next I cut my upper side of the gown by sixteen inches, on this dress no breast part it's just a normal straight gown, so after cutting out the upper part of the gown both the back and front side as you can see.
Then I cut out my hand by by folding my material by two and the length by twinty two inches and the hand pit side by eight inches and when you open it you get sixteen inches
Then I proceeded to cut out my lining for each part of the gown I cut out cause everything will be full lining on the dress, and I also cut out my babylace for the front as you can it on the material.
And I cut out my two inches dull-face material I will be using for the waist side and the hand
After cutting everything I proceeded to put in the lining for each part
This is the back side after the lining for both the upper and down part of the gown.
And this is the front part after the lining and fixing of my babylace at the upper side.
After lining up everything I proceed to iron before joining them together
This how it looks after joining it.
And this last part of it after putting up my stones and here it is ready to wear.
Thank you
