Going with the Flow: My Relaxed Approach to Managing My Digital Life.

Honestly, I don’t have a strict system for keeping my digital life organized—I mostly just go with the flow. Some people have detailed planners and reminders for everything, but i am actually not that kind of person. I check my emails and notifications when I feel like it, and I open apps based on what I need at the moment. If I see something important, I handle it, but I don’t stress over keeping everything perfectly structured.

That’s not to say I’m completely careless about my digital habits. I do like to keep track of how much time I spend on different apps, mainly out of curiosity. For that, I use the StayFree app, which gives me insights into my screen time. It’s pretty interesting to see which apps take up most of my time. I already know that Ecency is one of my most-used apps because I spend a lot of time engaging with posts, writing my own content, and keeping up with contests. It’s a productive platform for me, so I don’t feel guilty about the hours I put into it.

YouTube is another app I use frequently, especially for educational content and entertainment. Sometimes, I go there to learn something new or watch comedy videos or movies. Other times, I just watch random content, which I’m sure happens to a lot of people. I don’t set time limits for myself, but checking StayFree now and then helps me stay aware of how much time I’m actually spending online.

As for notifications, I don’t feel the need to clear them immediately. If it’s something urgent, I’ll respond right away, but most of the time, I just let them sit there until I’m ready to go through them and after that i just normally clear them. I know some people get stressed when they see a bunch of unread messages, but I don’t let it bother me. I’ll get to them when I have the time and energy.

I don’t really have strict rules when it comes to using social media. I use it when I feel like it and take breaks when I need to. I don’t follow a specific posting schedule or limit my screen time—I just engage when I want to and ignore it when I don’t. I think it's nice to have that freedom instead of forcing myself to follow a routine.

Later on, I might take a moment to reflect on how I use my time digitally. Even though I enjoy the flexibility of going with the flow, I know that a little structure can sometimes make things more efficient. Maybe I’ll make small changes, like being more intentional about checking emails at specific times or cutting back on unnecessary scrolling. But honestly, I’m not in a rush to change my habits. As long as I’m getting things done and not feeling overwhelmed, I think my approach works just fine.

At the end of the day, everyone handles their digital life differently. Some people love detailed organization, while others, like me, prefer a more relaxed approach. I think it’s all about finding what works for you. So how do you manage yours?

You still use this StayFree. I liked it when I used it. I'm just not sure why I didn't reinstall it when I changed PCs. What's FlashScore?

Yes i still use stay free. Flashscore is just for sport. I basically use it to check for scores. Like yesterday when my favorite football team was playing I couldn't watch it live so I was just following the highlights from the app.

Oh. Of course that's what it's for. Okay. Well, you might want to consider revisiting the Digi-prompts guidelines, by the way.

OK no problem.
