A quick post to say Merry Christmas to all of my Hive friends and anyone who happens to stumble upon my post.
I hope you have a stress free holiday...
ha! Such a thing does not exist, but one can dream.
Nonetheless I hope that you have a good time.
I have three days of family events (one down, two to go) before going back to work on Friday Dec 27th. Right now I'm sipping my coffee and scrolling through Hive feeds, just to chill for a bit before more Christmas festivities begin. Soon I'll be in the kitchen for hours cooking a turkey, and all "the fixins" (as they say in the South).
My wife and I don't go crazy on the presents and gifts for each other. We buy pyjama's or lounge wear (comfy clothes to wear around the house). It's just something simple and fun to open really.
We only bought one new ornaments for the tree this year as well, a glass ball with the classic Hudsons Bay pattern on it.
Our gas fireplace died this summer and we never called anyone to fix it yet, so we haven't had any cozy fires going this year and won't have one today.
Soon we will light our German Smokers so the house will at least smell festive and Christmassy.
We have snow on Christmas which is surprising because that doesn't happen often anymore. It definitely adds a little extra something to the holiday vibe though.
Okay that's all I got for now. A brief update just to say,
