Personal weaknesses are the drilling huddles on our paths to success. Before we can be the person we intend to be, we have to scale these huddles and overcome them. I wonder if there would have been need for training and learning if we were perfectly frame as it were from our birth. That would have made humans equal to God. It is only God who is perfect. Human beings have limitations in one form or the other. These limitations or imperfections are the constituents of what we refer to as personal weaknesses.
The Advantages And Disadvantages
Personal weaknesses have both the advantages and disadvantages in the life of a person. This conclusion is based on my personal experience. In simple terms, the weaknesses of a person is a positive trigger which propel the individual to strive for personal development. When one discovers that he is deficient in one way or the other, the individual could wisely seek advice and learn from those who have trained themselves to overcome such defects.
On the contrary, personal weaknesses could be of disadvantage to the individual if he is unwise. Unwise in the sense that instead of looking for how to improve himself and overcome the weakness, such an individual might choose to allow the weakness to destroy his life ambitions.
My Personal Weaknesses
Personally, I have been limited in some way or the other. If I allow myself to be victimized by these weaknesses, I won't be able to achieve my goals. So, I am learning productive ways of overcoming these weaknesses and being a better person.

A Bit Difficult To Please
I am one who prefers that things should be perfect and I mean perfect. It makes it difficult for people to please me. I have grown up with this character right from when I was young. Now that I'm married with my family it poses a problem to me because it tends to make me give my family difficulty. The major characteristic of this is that I virtually complain over everything. I would want to see any dirt around where I am. I want everything that is done to be excellent.
The bad side about this attitude is that it makes me not give consideration to others. I become insensitive. Trust me, come to learn that such an attitude won't make a happy home.
Having learnt that it could soil my marriage, I have cultivated my mind to understand that children can always play and dirty the house. I have come to accept that my wife is not an angel, that she can make mistakes sometimes. So, I take the pain and correct whatever I do not like myself.
Financial Indiscipline
Financial indiscipline is another weakness that I have. I can work and try every legal means available for me to make money but spending the money is usually the problem. I could spend all that is in my pocket everytime I go. I spend in a way that might not be too good for our family economy. So, that has been my personal weakness.
Trying to overcome this, I thank God for my wife who has responsibly recognized this and stood up to help in the management of our family finances. I bring in most of the money but I know that the money would be able to last a few days and could add to the family development if my wife handles it herself.
In conclusion, we all have one weakness or the other. The weakness is not meant to destroy us, we should see it as a stepping stone for greater heights. Thank you for visiting my blog.
