This is my post for #freewriters 2417 prompt You disappoint me hosted by @mariannewest

Today was an awesome day, I have been wanting to get a small window air conditioner to put in one of the extra bedroom windows and have my daughter move into it instead of her sleeping in the hallway. I do not want her sleeping there but that is where she insists on staying.

One of my sisters came by this morning and I told her the Church thrift store was having a big rummage sale and asked her if she wanted to go with me, of course, she did. Before I got to the door I saw an A/C unit sitting on the sidewalk, I asked the lady how much it was, and she said she did not know someone had just dropped it off. She found an extension cord and plugged it in. It started to get cool but was not cold yet, one of the male workers walked up and she asked him what they should charge for it, he put his hand in front of it and said it was not cold, it was only good as a fan, I told him I still wanted it, he said 10 dollars, I bought it. When I got home we plugged it in and it did not take long for it to get cold, I don't think we waited long enough at the sale.

It did not take my husband long to say "Help me put it in the living room window, it will help the big A/C unit not run as much" I was pissed but knew he would get mad because he has been talking about getting one for the living room. I wish I was the type of person who could say You disappoint me to him because he did disappoint me, I had told him what I wanted to do with it, and even though he says it is temporary, I know it is there to stay. I had to put duct tape around it because the wings are too wide to fit into the slots that the window slides up and down in and for good measure I put some at the top and bottom.

Yesterday my husband tried to buy a screened in tent on Marketplace for 12 dollars and the people told him they had someone coming to look at it, if they did not buy it, he could have it, well, it sold.

After the Church rummage sale, we saw a yard sale and stopped at it, they had a screened in tent and I asked how much it was, the man said 20 dollars, then I saw 10 dollars on the box and told him this, and a woman spoke up and said I could have it for 5, so I bought it. We have not put it up yet but she said they only used it once.

Next, we went to another thrift store. I have been wanting a rug for the front porch by the door to help keep some of the sand out of the house that the dogs bring in. I found this one for 10 dollars, it was more than I wanted to spend on one but since I had such good deals on the other things I went ahead and bought it.

I am not sure what I would ever do with this old hand drill, but it spoke to me, it said "buy me" and even though it was half as much as the air conditioner, 5 dollars, once I picked it up, I could not sit it back down, I think that might be because I can remember seeing my dad use one when I was a child, I know that is silly and a waste of money, BUT.....it is what it is, I now own it.

The bee man called and said he would not be coming today, it was pouring rain where he was, I told him it was thundering here but no rain. I could have told him "You disappoint me" but when he told me you do not want to mess with them in the rain, I understood.
