My truck has a very bald tire so I have been trying not to drive it unless needed. A new tire is over two hundred dollars. My spare is a little better than the one on it but we can not get the tire off, it has aluminum rims and the only way to change one is to take it to a shop, it is stuck to the lugs or whatever it is stuck to. I would take it to a tire shop, but they will not be liable for putting my spare on because it is not good. I know I need to get a tire but I just put a down payment of 1,500.00 to a law office in Alabama so the piece of land my Mother owned can go through probate up there, and I owe them another 1,850.00.

I am thinking about selling my truck, I don't want to but this gap is getting further from the cab, the frame has a crack in it, and it is not a small crack, my husband bolted a 2 foot piece of steel over the crack.

This side shows how far it is supposed to be from the cab. I will not sell it for someone to use but for the engine in it. People tell me it is a very good engine, it is a 7.3 diesel with 150,000 miles, 1997.

So if I can get by with riding my bike, I will do that.
Yesterday I rode my bike to the pharmacy to get my meds and all of last night my hand hurt from holding the handlebars. My husband said, that maybe we could readjust the handlebars and it would be easier on my hand, we were going to do it today but he rode his bike to the driver's license place to get a new license. He was wrong about the price, he thought it was 48 dollars but that was the cost for a new one, they charged him 25 for a replacement but then added an extra 6 dollars fee to that. I told him they taxed a tax, anyway to get more money out of us. When he got home from the DMV, 5 minutes later it started raining so we did not work on my bike.

Have you ever heard the saying, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree"? It skipped a generation. The top is me at age 13 and the bottom is my granddaughter at age 13.

The Ford 7.3L diesel from the late '90s and early '00s is definitely a good engine. Even if the frame and body are completely shot, that mill is worth a mint to motorheads. If I buy a truck or van, it's the motor I'd want in it.

I have had two people come up to me at 2 different gas stations and wanted to trade title for title and they had nice new trucks. Another told me when he bought his truck he had the engine that was in it taken out and bought an old engine like mine and put in his new truck. Someone told me I could get 5K for the engine.

I recently changed the tire of my car Nissan Tiida. It cost me around 42$ each. The truck must be a little higher. A new tire is over 200! A single one! Isn't it very high?

I'm sorry to hear about the pain in your hands. Hope that the soreness will go away soon.

I think it is high for a tire but that is for a cheap one, my husband's truck is not that much, his is around 80 dollars.

Thank you but, My hand will not get better until I have surgery as long as I can live with the pain I am going to do so. The cartridge is gone between the bones and the doctor wants to take 3 of the bones out of the top of my hand and put a cap in there. I do not know what a cap is, that is what he called it.
