Playing the dirty game

What I'm about to write here today is something that myself, my family and friends have all thought about one time or the other. We've always wondered what it would feel like being in a place of power and how that would change us.

Of course we always say nothing but good stuff, about how we would make the country a better place. I personally have a beef with the current politicians, so I've always made it known that the moment I get into power (preferably the highest seat in power), the first thing I'd do is impeach everyone of those old suckers occupying those seats.

But you see, I've grown to realize that the way we look at things from the outside isn't always the way it is on the inside. And if there's one thing I didn't know then that I know now, it is that power can be very intoxicating and if you're not careful, you might end up getting drunk off of it.

So you might think that when you get into a place of power that you would bring good changes to the place, but you end doing the complete opposite. I've seen it happen even with people that I know. I've seen them change completely from the person they once were to something else, luckily for us, the position they occupied was just that of school/class prefects.. Now imagine if they were put in places of real power.

Anyways, to answer today's question on if I was given the opportunity to contest for a powerful political position, if I would take it? Well my answer to that is a simple and direct one, my answer is yes, I would gladly take it because why not? And yes, I will do almost anything to win, even if it meant playing dirty politics and here's why..

Last year, one of my country's most competitive elections was held and a man who was the people's favourite lost simply because the two other parties involved played dirty while all he did was to stand and watch because he was trying to play by the books.

While that's a good thing to do, I believe that when you notice the moves you're opponents are making, it's your duty to try to stop or beat them at their game, even if it meant you playing dirty too because at this point, you're not just fighting for yourself but for everyone else because a good government means a good and happy country.

Well as expected, he ended up losing the election and also lost the case in court probably because everyone had been well paid to look the other way and now everyone in the country is crying and suffering because of the current hardship everywhere.

So there you have it, yes I will contest and yes I will do everything in my power to make sure I win. As for the part about getting intoxicated with too much power, I really can't say for sure until I'm in the position because there are certain things you will never know how it feels like until you have a firsthand experience of it.

Hehehe, president Prayzz is warming up.. hahaha, it's okay

I heard that the seat can be intoxicating and it's normal when billions are involved
Personally I will choose not to be tempted..lolz
I wouldn't take the position even on a platter of God...but maybe gift it a family member if possible
Lol

Really?? That's a bit surprising though because I genuinely think a lot of people would want to go for it.. Be it for good or bad reasons.. But yeah I understand, some people like a simple life and wouldn't want to complicate things.

Power is indeed intoxicating, You won't know the extent you can go when you get to the seat of power. It really disheartening when politicians misuse the power against the masses

That's why when given the opportunity, you have to take it and set things right.. But you have to take it first and sometimes that involves playing dirty.

I agree with you. In the beginning, playing dirty tricks is ok for the good. I think considering the long-term situation your mentioned politician needed to play the dirty game.

Yeah, sometimes we have to look at the long term goal.. That's more important.

@prayzz, sorry to see that you have less Hive Power.
Your level lowered and you are now a Minnow!

Hive Power Up Day - July 1st 2024

Given the opportunity, I'd join in the race. I generally have issues with people who complain a lot about things bot going right but never take the initiative or just bluntly refuse to step in and put all their strategies to work.

I'm not sure about 'playing the game,' whatever context you take it. But then, right now, all I have is the words and morals. Until I get to that point, maybe I'd know the way forward.

Sometimes, morals will get you killed and that's reality...it's sad but true.. You just have to survive.
