Chicken balls are one of the best things to bring joy to kids' taste buds every time. My son loves this, as snacks or sides of the main meal.

I usually buy the frozen ones in bulk. But recently, while scrolling YT, one short popped into my feed and I saw how easy it is to prepare. So I made it myself for the very first time. And guess what? It turned out well.

Let me share the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • Two breast pieces of chicken (250gm)
  • Green chilli
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • Corn flour
  • Garlic and white pepper powder (not mandatory)
  • Maggi masala/ any mixed spice to enhance the taste (not mandatory)

Step-by-step process:

Cut the boneless chicken into small pieces and add the ingredients. I have added the black pepper and the green chili a little more. Other than that the garlic and while pepper powder was just a pinch.

Mix them well and put them in a mixer grinder to make a smooth paste.

The paste will look like this, sticky and smooth. We need cornflour as a binder.

Add half a cup of cornflour. But if not available you can add regular flour too. That will make the balls a little hard.

I have added Maggi mixed-ready spice powder to enhance the taste.

This is how the mixture would look like before we make them balls; soft, smooth, and sticky.

Preparing the balls:

I added some cooking oil to my palm and made a ball with the mixture. You can add oil to a small spoon to make the balls as well.

Prepare steamed water in a pan and put the balls one by one directly into the hot water.

It will take the balls 4-5 minutes to float on the top. That's when you know the cooking is done.

Take them off the pan and let them cool down for a while.

If you want to fridge them, you can do this in this step. Or you can fry them after this if you want.

Frying the balls:

Fry them in low heat, a small amount of cooking oil is enough as they are already cooked. Fry them on every side properly for a minute.

They are ready to serve.

If you have sticks you can serve them like this or in a place without sticks, however you want.

The delightful combination of crispy and tender provides an enjoyable bite and the inside is juicy, moist, and tender. It's a perfect combo for a satisfactory meal.

I was surprised by how easy the recipe was and how good it turned out. If you are a first-timer like me, try this. You would love it. And if you have another recipe, you can share it with me.

Have a good day!

It looks delicious. Very good recipe, thanks for sharing it with us.

Nice 👍

Omg, I love this? We love chicken balls. But homemade like this is more amazing that the one you can buy on any store. At least a homemade, you are sure that it is 90% chicken meat, or more.
