Weekly-ish Running (and cycling) update - all over the place!

in #inleo19 days ago

I had a week away last week so not so much running, but I did get in a couple of decent bike rides!

And I'd like to do more of that sort of thing, bike riding that is, although probably more in summer!

Hereford Intervals...

I was gonna head to the track but it was windy and I just wasn't in the mood for pace into the wind, so I did my local run and just did my longer intervals so I managed:

  • 1 * 800
  • 1* 600
  • 3* 400....

Slower than usual, but again this was just a matter of getting them in!

Somerset quick 5K

My usual route along an abandoned cycle path - just a usual 5K, quite happy with pace, opted for a few intervals at the end after, not too fast, this was just a matter of getting the run in...

Bath cycle ride...

A nice little ride along an abandoned cycle path with a few friends, simply beautiful and I got the lone of an electric bike!

The variety which only kicked in when you cycled, very clever, so a very easy ride, my first bike ride in a few years this! out and back was around 13K in total, this is just the route back.

There was quite a lot of stopping en route, such as at the castle where Nicholas Cage apparently used to live!

Bath short 4K

Struggling with a few beers from the night before but it was a few days since my last run, I was quite happy with this!

I had aimed for 5K but with last night's food and beer and lack of sleep, I was feeling a bit queezy, so settled for 4K.

The route was great - suburban Bath and then along the river, just an out and back, ending up at an extreme hipster bakery where I was under order to pick up some cinnamon buns, which I must say were delicious. If you're ever in Bath - Mokoko bakery does some of the best coffee and pastries.

London Beckenham to Greenwich...

My friend knew the route by memory, otherwise it would have been hopeless - this is the way back, combined with the way there it was around 22K in total, given that this is south London it was a great route, 80% green and only a couple of busy London type junctions, recommended, but ideally you want a local who knows where you're going so you don't have to think about it!

Next weeks plans....

I'm back in Hereford for a few days then working in Shropshire next week, so ideally I'll get in a couple of decent runs back at home and then a couple of new ones where I'm working.

Should be good!

Nice max heart rate on the interval run, is that a chest strap or just wrist based?

Nice, Cycling has a good health benefits to the body, 6.65km is good for cycling.

Run of 4.11km is way standard. This shows you are very healthy and active And your heart rate seems perfectly Fine

Hey cheers!
