Hello Hivians and all you beer lovers. Are you ready for Valentine's Day?
Lovers month ~ so let's try to keep a level head!
Well we are in the beer lovers community so let's kick of with a fine pint!
We were in St Andrews recently and could not find an open coffee shop that was not crowded with the Pimms brigade, so found somewhere more interesting!
The Central Bar
Yes that somewhere more interesting was The Central bar in the heart of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland.
It is actually a Belhaven Bar but like so many bars now they are all part of a little brewery which is owned by a bigger one etc.
Level Head
Level Head is a Session IPA. It is only around 4% but it is a very drinkable wee pint!
The bar decor was more like a proper pub and not what has become of the British pub!
Seats were comfy.
The beer served with a good amount of froth and cold!
Damn fine it was too...
Mrs T had a gin and tonic.
I stupidly forgot to ask for a tall glass. Why do the give you gin in the bulbous glasses with loads of ice. All you get is gin flavoured ice.
I think this guy was suspicious of the photos I was taking, or just being a nosey so and so!
I just love this glass. In days of old I would have halfinched one.
Although if I saw it on the street I would take it home, because we don't want it being broken now do we?
So what do you think, was this a good alternative to the coffee shop?
I certainly do. Of course much more expensive than a couple of cups of coffee, but well worth it!
