When it comes to publishing new posts, I was almost entirely inactive in the past three months, but not when it comes to curating, playing Splinterlands, dCrops, and dCity, or tokens management and some other activities around liquidity pools.
So, from that perspective, there is nothing I could really brag about. My hectic real life with its obligations takes its toll daily. Still, I managed to accomplish my first two Alive goals.
My 1st Alive Goal - Staking 1,000 Alive Tokens
When I talked about my Alive plans for the first time three months ago, taught by my almost six years long Hive/Steem experience how everything on this blockchain takes time, I didn't expect I would accomplish any of my goals, including this one, that soon.
I wanted to attain that goal of 1,000 Alive tokens staked to be able to trigger Alive Tipping Bot, which at level one requires that amount of tokens to be staked as a minimum.
With that being accomplished, now I can tip others with 0.1 $ALIVE token just by typing !ALIVE
in my comments, and at level 1, I can do that ten times per day.
My 2nd Alive Goal - Make My Upvote Worth 1 $ALIVE Token
My Alive upvote was worth 0.220 Alive tokens three months ago. Back then, I calculated I would need about 3,100 - 3,200 Alive Power (tokens staked) to achieve that goal of my upvote worth 1 $ALIVE token.
My calculation wasn't precisely correct, but my mishit wasn't that big as it turned out that for an upvote worth 1 $ALIVE token, one would need something less than 3,500 Alive Power (tokens staked).
Today, with almost 4,300 Alive Power, my 100% upvote (at 100% power) worths 1.243 $ALIVE tokens.
If you would want to sell that amount of tokens right away (on Hive-Engine or Tribaldex market) for 1.243 Alive tokens you'll get 0.00683650 Hive or 0.006 Hive if we neglect the numbers after the third decimal (as the current highest bid for 1 $ALIVE token is 0.0055).
An upvote worth 0.006 Hive may not look like a big amount, but don't be fooled by that, and let's take a look at it from the following perspective.
For an upvote worth 0.006 Hive on the Hive blockchain, one would need about 130 Hive Power (Hive coins staked). Even at the current very low price of Hive being $0.8415 per 1 Hive (at the time of this writing and according to CoinMarketCap) it will cost you something above $109.
At the same time, for the same upvote worth 0.006 Hive in Alive tokens of 1.243, for which one would need close to 4,300 Alive Power (Alive tokens staked), the math is the following.
According to the currently available sales on the Hive-Engine/Tribaldex market and their prices for 4,300 Alive tokens, one would need close to 73 Hive (at the average price of 0.01697674 per 1 Alive token) which is something below $62.
Here becomes clear that for the same outcome (of an upvote worth value of 0.006 Hive) one would need something above $109 to buy 130 Hive or something below $62 to buy 4,300 Alive tokens.
I believe the difference of $47 which is above 43% smaller initial investment for buying Alive tokens instead Hive, is a difference worth some consideration for every investor.
How I Managed To Collect almost 4,300 Alive Power?
I've got to this point by a combination of the following methods and activities.
- Publishing posts on Alive Platform and using Alive Tribe Tags (especially when post publishing is done by using other interfaces like PeakD, Ecency, or similar) as otherwise the posts wouldn't be published on Alive Platform, seen by Alive Community, and either not curated by Alive Curators.
(Although it was the least used method from my side, it still brought a certain amount of Alive tokens my way.) - Curating other members' posts on Alive Platform, so I would be sure (in case of some misspelled tag) the chosen article would surely be awarded in Alive tokens, which on the other hand ensured me that my curation reward would be paid in Alive tokens also.
- Commenting
- Slowly but steady buying Alive tokens on the Hive-Engine/Tribaldex market as much as I could afford at the particular moment.
- Staking regularly Alive tokens no matter if they were earned/rewarded by publishing posts & comments, curating, or purchased on the market.
- Delegating Hive Power to @thisisawesome for their initiative.
(Although I've delegated a very small amount of just 10 Hive, I was still rewarded for this delegation every week as in Alive tokens, the same in some other tokens, too.) - Participating every week regularly in the #AliveOnThursday Staking Contest run by @flaxz, creator of the whole Hive-based "We Are Alive And Social" initiative.
(This method, especially in the beginning when my initial Alive Power was very small, brought me a significant amount of Alive Tokens - only in the first three weeks above 1,500 tokens.)
To grow my Alive account and build my Alive Power, for now, I used only those methods listed above, but there are many other options and possibilities through different initiatives, challenges, or contests inside Alive Tribe Community that can be used for even faster and bigger growth than it was in my case.
My Future Alive Plans
1st Goal
My first following goal is to reach the amount of 5,000 Alive Power, so I'll be able to enter level 2 for Alive Tipping Bot, which level would allow me to trigger the bot and tip others 20 times per day.
I hope I'll be able to do that in the following month!
2nd Goal
For my second following goal of accumulating 7,000 Alive Power, I'm afraid I might need 2-3 months which hugely depends on my posting activity (and a constant perseverance in publishing is not my virtue), as well as on the outcome of my other crypto investments that would allow me (or not) to buy some more Alive tokens.
However, I'm really looking forward to the moment of accomplishing this goal, as it would make my upvote worth 2 $ALIVE tokens!
