Greetings Dear Readers;

.

This rendering....of a nod to the Dutch Masters...Still-life artists of long ago....can sometimes be called a Master Copy...has been an idea of Bleujay's for some time and is actually a study size of a larger size in mind. We shall see if it really comes to fruition.

Bleujay almost always begins with a drawing, and then proceeds to paint the background especially if it is rather straightforward as this one is. When inspired by work such as this, Bleujay is really trying to decode the painting in order to see what makes it tick, as it were. To paint something similar really assists in a tremendous way and was practiced in great schools of art in the past.

What I found in this Master's work was fantastic detail and movement. As my purpose was not to copy inch by inch, I changed out a few things...Did you spot them? Great credit goes to this Master Painter...we can learn much from the Masters.

Here's wishing you the best, especially God's best.

'God commended His Love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died as a substitute for us.' Romans 5.8

'For by grace are you saved and that not of yourselves, it is a gift from God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.' Ephesians 2.8,9

It is Faith alone in Christ alone for salvation.

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

I can never take my dog to the park because the ducks keep trying to bite him.
I guess that’s what I get for buying a pure bread dog.

Wow! It's an amazing composition.
But I don't do flowers so well yet.
Apparently, there is not enough knowledge and skills...

Appreciate your kind words with regard to the painting.

I find your artwork very fine indeed....they communicate Roses fresh from the garden. Well done!

Cheers, Bleujay

Thank you for the pleasant compliment, but I still have to study and study to get at least something like this for your work.
Besides, watercolor is a very difficult thing for me :-)

Started reconnecting with an old hobby… digital artwork. So I do appreciate seeing beautiful artworks like yours. It keeps me motivated to keep learning as well. 😊

Wishing you well in your art experience with Digital artwork.

Bleujay did go that way... example my @bentleycapital account.

I would be delighted to hear of your journey....this is what I found...it seemed for Bleujay the brain uses different 'Skill Sets'/Memory pathways to render the art digitally versus physically...so I had to make a decision between the two eventually...and I went with the material/physical art.

Even though I would enjoy picking it up again...I do remember the experience of not being able to do both.

Here's hoping you are able to do both. ^__^

Cheers, Bleujay

Thank you!

Thank you, I appreciate hearing your insights about it. I just recently started learning digital art. And you're right, it has a difference compared to physical art.

Hopefully, someday I will be able to do both.

Thank you very much for supporting my publication, it really helps me a lot and even more so at this time when my sister needs a little collaboration in case of illness. Thanks again

Greetings @hjrrodriguez ,

My pleasure.

Kind Regards to you and your family.

Bleujay

I think, the color you use is much brighter compared to the work of Artist Willem van Aelst.😊 You make it lively more.😊😊

Greetings @fixyetbroken ,

My colours always have been a bit on the bold side...its true. ^__^

Thank you for your kind words.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

Your technique with watercolor is amazing, I haven't found a way to make friends with watercolor yet, it constantly runs away from me :). !BEER

Greetings @barski ,

Thank you for your kind words.

It does take a bit of practice to be sure...having said that ...there are so many different applications of watercolour out there....that it looks like you cannot go wrong. ^__^

Thank you for dropping by....and bearing gifts....appreciate the beer.

Cheers, Bleujay

I hope that the time for training with watercolors will come, but for now I'm mocking graphite :) !VSC

Beautiful work!

Greetings @albuslucimus ,

Appreciate your kind words with regard to the artwork....thank you!

Kind Regards, Bleujay

Absolutely! I always have such appreciation for skilled art - I always wanted to be an artist but never dedicated myself to the perfection of the craft - so seeing the work of those who have is really inspiring :)

WOW fantastic work! What a talent!

I love how you show us the process as well as get into your inspiration. I think yours is a little better than the original with the same dark background to make the colours pop but not overwhelming like the original.

BRAVO!

Greetings @zekepickleman ,

You are too kind. Appreciate the Seal of Approval!....Lovely!

Thank you for your kind words regarding the artwork and post presentation.

I must admit to have had to copy the master painting as students did in the days of olde would have been overwhelming indeed.

Kind Regards,

Bleujay

1️⃣ Able Seaman bleujay🔺 Congratulations, I miss my colleagues there, I laughed a lot, but there is NO lack of a son of a bitch who ruins life, sorry for the expression but it is true, I hope KARMA acts soon

Greetings @lupega,

It is loads of fun..a bit of interactive theatre really. ^__^

It is too bad you are not there.

I understand what you are saying....however I do not see how the two are connected...at least Bleujay is not connected with it.

You are welcome anytime...I am sure of it.

Cheers, Bleujay
