Hello Hello Beer Lovers. threaders and Hivians!
I am all jumbled up today. I think Storm Babat confused me or perhaps it is the beer fumes that have got me all topsy turvy.
What the fluff are you talking about Tengo I can hear you scoff!
Well as you may know I have posted a few times into the #beer community, however I have not posted with this alt. So today we swap, and this alt will post a Beer post to celebrate The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 329 and @tengolotodo will post my Saturday Savers post!
I hope you fancy a thirst quencher?
Today is Saturday, and that means it is time to share a cheeky beer with you.
Well actually this is more sneaky than cheaky, because and this will explain why you are seeing many beer posts today, it is ZEALY challenge from the boys at INLEO!
So, this is my post for #beersaturday coming from our local Wetherspoons pub in Kirkcaldy, The Robert Nairn.
It is a two for one beer day!
Beer 1 a Corona ...
... so a bit of a Mexican thirst quencher to celebrate HiveFest that was in Mexico.
It went very nicely with the Japanese chicken curry!
The beer in question is from their official site
Tasting Notes
Color: Corona is lighter than some of its competitors, with a light yellow hue in the glass that’s reminiscent of straw or faded copper.
Nose: Some sweet malt and a bit of that signature skunkiness come through on the nose, along with a hint of citrus and green apple.
Palate: Corona is immediately recognizable on the palate, with a sharp effervescence that immediately starts at the tip of your tongue and travels upward. From there, the sweetness intensifies but stops short of sugary as a bit of bitterness comes into play. These notes are all very mild, with a bit of muted orange and grain rounding out the palate.
Finish: There’s a slight bitter hit on the finish, but this fades fairly quickly, leaving you with a touch of sugar and lingering bubbles on your tongue and in the back of your throat.
I always found it just to be a gimmick. It was the first beer I remember being sold in a bottle with a slice of lime in the top.
I wonder what Mexicans think of it? Do they really like it, it seems a bit bland for me!
No worries it did all get drunk of course!
Beer 2 a Leffe ...
... Was it served in a Leffe glass?
Yes it fluffing was!
And fluff me was it not a pretty sexy glass. It was a pint of beer and the glass held it comfortably.
Rangers my beloved football team played their first match today with their new manager ... Philippe Clement and guess what country he is from?
Yep Belgium, so of course as a toast to his first match today and a fine 4-0 victory here is a downed glass!
It is a good strong beer that I have written about before!
I much prefer the Leffe, but give me a darkr beer and I would be even happier!
This is my post for #beersaturday and The #BeerSaturday Challenge - Week 329 from @detlev in The BEER community.
This is #BeerSaturday week and I would like to invite @coquicoin to write a post in any language about beer with at least 3 pictures. Have you got a cheeky wee beer or two this week @coquicoin ... ?
Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your day!
