Hi Everyone,
Part Five and Part Six of my book, Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time, have been published on my @captainhive account. This collection post contains all twenty-eight chapters.
Part Five takes us back to the Hat Lady’s childhood in the North District twenty-two years prior to the great serum debate. This was before the technology revolution. At the time, the North District was almost purely a mining district. Life was very difficult for the residents.
The Hat Lady was raised in an orphanage after her parents died in a deadly mining accident. Her tragic journey is described up to the time she eventually escapes the orphanage. Tiberius is officially introduced to the story. He is the son of Chief Sanguine. He is possibly the most evil character in the whole Sapien Loop series.
The collapse of the Alset facility in the North District leads to the complete collapse of the district. The North residents are welcomed to move to the Capital and West Districts. Governor Sanguine no longer has control over anyone anymore. He travels to the Capital District to resign as governor. In exchange, he helps his son, Tiberius, gain a high position in the new Capital District Government. Not long afterwards, tragedy strikes the Capital District.
In Part Six, things take a turn for the worse for Ryan, James, Jeff, and the Alset family. This leads to the collapse of both the Yensid and Alset empires as the brothers and the Alset family are accused of being responsible and causing the tragedy that ended Part Five.
Ryan is overwhelmed with the loss of his loved one. He initially steps back from duty and then later resigns out of guilt for trusting James. He names Tiberius to be his successor because of the way he handled the tragedy as well as the way he granted mercy to the culprits.
The Hat Lady believed Tiberius had died years earlier in the Carvaress fire. Once she realised he was alive, she knew he was behind the tragedy that hit the Capital District. She decided to team up with Demadrian to bring down Tiberius, but unfortunately, things do not go according to plan.
The story takes us twenty years on. The second generation of the genetically upgraded Linap are sick and diseased. This causes panic amongst the first generation of upgraded Linap. Tiberius places the blame on the Alset family again, claiming they have been poisoning them with radiation from their inventions. He uses this claim to attack Carrington City and to destroy the Alset family for good. However, the Alset family is prepared to take action.

In Chapter 55, the Hat Lady’s origins are explained. The story takes us back twenty-two years to when she was an orphan.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 57: A Way Out
Another six years had passed. The technological revolution had begun. Mining in the North had become safer. The number of orphans was beginning to fall. Tiberius decided to hold one last fight. This time he chooses the Hat Lady to fight her best friend, NB14564. She refused to fight him. Instead, she fought a guard and won.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 58: Building Loyalty
After the guards disappointing and disloyal performance at the orphanage. Tiberius decided to put all his guards through a strict obedience-training course. Some of his guards are also introduced to a new obedience drug developed by the Alset Company.

The Hat Lady and NB14564 decide to escape the orphanage and escape to the Capital District. However, Tiberius is alerted to their disappearance, and his guards pursue them.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 60: Am I truly Lost?
After the tragic events of Chapter 59, the Hat Lady feels defeated. However, she finds the strength to escape again. She has a vision of NB14564 that gives her strength to continue fighting. She decides to live in the wild. Life is tough, but she makes a new friend who tries to help her.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 61: It All Burns Down
Tiberius has realised he has made a terrible mistake and killed a noble girl instead of the Hat Lady. He goes to the noble family to explain that the orphan children had killed their daughter. He explains to them that the Hat Lady was now impersonating their daughter. The situation soon gets out of control. The chapter ends by briefly describing the events of the following years. This takes us back to where Part Three ended.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 62: A Visitor
The North District is basically abandoned. Governor Sanguine rules over nobody. He goes to the Capital City to resign. In exchange, he asks for his son, Tiberius, to be compensated for his loss of title.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 63: I Have This Covered

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 64: A Star Is Born
This chapter goes back to before James used the ‘blue juice’. The chapter describes how he met the Hat Lady and how she introduced him to Saliyah. The story continues to how Saliyah met Ryan and how their romance and careers begin to blossom.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 65: The Referendum
It is finally time to vote on the genius serum. Again, record numbers turn out to vote on this historic matter. The House of Divine Knowledge is unhappy with the outcome of the referendum. Locum passes due to old age and illness, and Demadrian slips away from Carrington City.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 66: The Enforcers Are Here
It is almost time for another Pound Ball Grand Final. A parade has been organised to celebrate the upcoming game as well as the arrival of the enforcers. The new Head Enforcer is announced, but to James’ annoyance, he does not show up to make a speech. His deputy makes the speech instead.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 67: Just Another Grand Final
The Pound Ball Grand Final has arrived. This year the Flyers play the Enforcers. James wants this grand final to be even bigger than the previous year. However, things take a terrible turn for the worse.
Sapien Loop 2 - Part 6: Death of Freedom and Chapter 68: The Aftermath
Enforcers and emergency services finally get into the stadium. They are met with the full extent of the disaster. Ryan goes in search of Saliyah but is unable to find her. More information is revealed about the disaster. It was clearly no accident.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 69: There Is a Price and It Must Be Paid
Ryan takes an urgent leave of absence. In his place, Tiberius organises a temporary leadership team, which was to be led by his father. The public strongly opposes such a move, but they quickly become too occupied with the facts of the disaster. Their anger immediately shifts towards the suspected perpetrators.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 70: Give Me a Chance
Hadrian confesses to causing the disaster at the stadium. He is arrested and transported to the Capital City. Sanguine decides that judgement of the accused should be made by the public themselves and not by himself or any other government official. This causes the public to warm to him a little.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 71: Justice is in Our Hands
All the accused are put on trial. Hadrian and the Alset technicians plead guilty to all charges. James changed his plea to not guilty when he found out his brother Jeff was still alive. He is therefore escorted back to the prison. The Hat Lady finds out that Tiberius is alive and is also the new Head Enforcer.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 72: The Execution
Hadrian has been sentenced to be burnt alive on a stake. Percival finds this judgement excessive and pleads with Tiberius to reduce this sentence. Tiberius agrees to ask the public if they would grant him mercy on his day of execution.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 73: We Want Out
The Alset family was informed of their punishment. They were forbidden to leave Carrington City. They would be forced to continue producing technology, but they would only be paid in basic necessities. They no longer owned any assets. Jeff is finally allowed to visit his brother James to prepare for their trial. The Hat Lady plans a clever escape.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 74: The New World Order
Ryan has now officially stepped aside. He has named Tiberius as his successor. This endorsement leads to Tiberius gaining strong support from the public. Tiberius immediately gets to work naming key positions in his new Government.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 75: We Need a Plan
The Hat Lady has made it safely to Carrington City. She desperately needs Demadrian’s help to stop Tiberius. She attempts to win his trust back by telling him the whole truth about her past and why she wanted to harm his family.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 77: Time Moves On
This chapter summarises the events of the next decade as Tiberius grows in power and popularity. The citizens of Sapey are now forced to have their children upgraded by the serum, or they will be forced to be slaves in Carrington or Cellrebrum. Since the children have been a great success, this has not proven to be a problem for Tiberius. The Alset family continues to secretly explore and build on the network of tunnels beneath them. They strongly believe the day will come when they will be forced underground for good.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 78: We Are the Ones
Duffo and Marlon are now teenagers. They have grown arrogant. They look down on the older generation of Linap. They consider them as the others. They even look down on Tiberius even though they fear him. Duffo has ambitions to replace Tiberius one day.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 79: The First Are Born
The second generation of upgraded Linap are born. They are very unhealthy, and many of them die in their first year. This causes outrage among the new Linap. They hold Tiberius responsible for this happening. Sanguine convinces Tiberius to blame the Alset family again. Tiberius tells the public he is equally outraged and that the Alset family needs to pay for their crimes.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 80: Preparation
The enforcers prepare to attack Carrington City and Cellrebrum. Duffo sees this as a great opportunity to betray Tiberius. However, his plans are foiled. He fears he is about to meet his end, but something else happened earlier in the day that changed the mind of his captor. The Alset family, through connections to the outside world, found out about the attack. They prepare to go underground to save their lives.
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 81: Total Annihilation
The simultaneous attacks on Carrington City and Cellrebrum begin. It is an action-packed chapter with lots of twists and turns. Who lives and who dies?
Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 82: Going Underground
Cellrebrum and Carrington City have been completely destroyed. It appears everyone has been killed. Both Duffo and Tiberius have been presumed dead. However, there are survivors in the tunnels. Most of them head to the underground cities, and the few selected are frozen inside the pods to be awakened at a future, safer date.
My New Book, Sapien Loop
I have published an ebook on Amazon; it is titled ‘Sapien Loop: End of an Era’. The book is fiction. I do not normally write fiction. However, I felt it was appropriate considering what is happening in the world today. Freedom is the most important thing we have, but we are gradually losing it. I have covered this in many of my posts.
In the story, most citizens do not understand the concept of freedom because they have never really experienced it. In essence, the story is about an alien world that might represent our not-so-distant future. There are many other elements to the story that are an abstract and exaggerated version of our reality. I believe this book to be an important read, and I believe it has the potential to change the way you think.
Brief Summary of Sapien Lopp
This story is based on the fictional planet Sapia and its sole country, Sapey. Sapey is portrayed as a form of utopia for all its citizens. No poverty. No war. Almost no crime. Opportunities for all.
This was enough for most citizens, but not all. In one of the small regions, some of the citizens had become discontent. They felt something important was missing in their lives. Their discontent did not go unnoticed. Some of the Sapey elite wanted to weaponise this discontent to gain more power. This created more chaos than they anticipated. This led to further widespread social unrest.
On top of the chaos, ambition and greed provoked another enemy. This enemy was on a mission to settle both new and old scores.
