Sapien Loop 2 – Part Seven and Epilogue

Part Seven and the Epilogue of my book, Sapien Loop: Frozen in Time, have been published on my @captainhive account. This collection post contains all sixteen chapters.

Part Seven begins back in Downs. Tiberius and his team and Orcilla and her team are trying to make a deal regarding the seaweed cure/treatment. It finally appears there is a breakthrough, and Orcilla’s team may have gained the upper hand. Tiberius feels he is about to lose out. He seeks advice from Lily. Lily immediately turns to Yassme, who at this point is deeply aggrieved with Orcilla. She influences Yassme to attack Orcilla as her only course of action to save her relationship with her twin.

With Orcilla’s life on the line, Daily accepts Tiberius’ terms for the seaweed cure. It appears Orcilla will be saved, but things continue to go wrong, thus putting her life in great danger. Yassmay risks her life to save Orcilla. In turn, Yassme risks her life to save Yassmay.

Control of Downs is handed over to Tiberius and his team. The Downs residents are treated for their illness, but once well, they are forced to leave Downs to build aboveground settlements for the underground Linap.

Tragedy strikes, and one of the frozen Linap is killed. This leads to the arrest of prominent characters. Orcilla is thrown into an internal struggle to survive as she is forced to face her past life and self.

The second part of Part Seven takes us back to just after the fall of Carrington City and Cellrebrum. Tiberius’ crimes are revealed for all to see. New elections are called, and a candidate from the House of Divine Knowledge wins.

Several decades pass, and the Linap are faced with a population crisis as the new second generation Linap remain sick and are infertile. Extinction appears inevitable. Marlon Carvaress has a plan to save them, but it involves back breeding with the older previous generation of Linap. Despite the dire situation, the new Linap refuse to mix their genetics with the others.

Matters continue to deteriorate. An emergency Government is formed. A decision had been made to create two new species. They would be bred to perform the work that the Linap could no longer do. We have the birth of the Sapiens and the Sapiods.

The Epilogue of the book follows the journey of August Rezif and Maskameera Wolf. August discovers four frozen ancient Sentray eggs. With the scientific advancements made by the Carvaress Company, he is able to develop a serum that could give him eternal life. The serum is a success. August and Maskameera are still alive after the Linap are defrosted. The Epilogue describes how they have both manipulated the course of Sapey’s history from behind the scenes.

Tiberius and Orcilla’s teams meet to make a deal regarding the seaweed cure. Downs desperately need the cure, but the price Tiberius demands is high and jeopardises the freedom of all the Downs residents.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 84: The Deadly Politics of Time

Tiberius feels like he is going to be on the losing end of the deal. He seeks Lily’s help. Lily uses her strong influence over Yassme to convince her to attack Orcilla, thus making her team desperate to accept Tiberius’ deal.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 85: We Will Do Whatever It Takes

Orcilla appears to have a good chance of pulling through, but the laboratory loses power. Her life support machine is only kept going by an old backup battery. In an attempt to restore power in time, Yassmay, Denise, and Eugene rush off to retrieve a backup generator.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 86: Betrayal and Redemption

It appears all has failed. Orcilla appears to have died, and Yassmay’s life is in the balance. Yassme decides to give her blood to Yassmay to save her life and in turn possibly save Orcilla if she is still alive. One of Eugene’s cameras captures Yassme outside the laboratory covered in blood after the stabbing.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 87: Bow to Your New Master

Tiberius has taken control of Downs. His team has distributed and administered the seaweed cure, now referred to as a treatment, to the sickest Downs residents. They appear to be recovering rapidly. However, they are going to be sent anyway to camps to build the new settlements for the underground Linap. Phillip tells Daily to use the mind voice to find out if Orcilla is still alive.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 88: The Struggle Within

Vulay feels defeated. She can see the Downs residents being forced out of their homes and possibly becoming slaves. However, after talking with Denise, Vulay becomes inspired to make a difference and wants to reveal Tiberius, who they still believe to be Hamish Alset, as a fraud and a dictator. Daily now believes Orcilla is alive. The mind voice indicates she is going through some form of internal battle in her mind. The blood from the twins is helping her fight this battle.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 89: Blood on My Hands

Yassmay finds out about Yassme’s dark secret. This prompts her to join Daily and Orcilla. Tiberius has an open question and answer session with the Downs residents. Vulay strongly probes into what his plans actually mean for the Downs residents. Jenna meets Vulay after the session to clarify a few of her queries. However, tragedy strikes again. This leads to the arrest of both Vulay and Denise.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 90: Exodus

It is time for the Downs residents to depart for their respective work camps. Daily, Yassmay, and the still incapacitated Orcilla are in a vehicle heading west. When Daily takes his shift to drive the vehicle, he decides to break away from the convoy. The lead vehicle informs the enforcers in Downs to pursue the vehicle by air. This leads to a race to safety.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 91: In My Dream

Orcilla is trapped in a dream where she needs to confront her past and her current vulnerabilities. Orcille, her previous self, tries to stop her returning to the real world. Orcilla is determined not to be defeated.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 92: The Truth Comes Out

Carrington City and Cellrebrum have been destroyed. It appears the Alset family has been wiped out. Duffo and Tiberius have also been declared dead. Sanguine takes his own life. In doing so, he reveals all of his and Tiberius’ dark secrets. Sapey residents are deeply shocked. Elections are declared. James Yensid is released from prison. On release, he meets up with his brother, Jeff, and his good friend Waldo.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 93: The Decline

The House of Divine Knowledge candidate wins the Capital District election. Tiberius is officially wiped from history. However, Sapey enters great decline as sickness runs rampant among the next generation and their population begins to fall.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 94: We Shall Not Be Replaced

Despite the health crisis, the Business Sector does not attempt to find long-term cures for the illnesses. They are more focused on profiting from temporary treatments. They also want the House of Divine Knowledge-backed Governments to fail. Marlon Carvaress is the only one dedicated to finding such cures. He tries a secret back breeding program to restore health to the next generation, but he is exposed with grave consequences.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 95: Democracy Until We Die

The Government is bankrupt. The Business Sector plans to plunder all the assets as payment for more research into finding cures. The Governor is forced to agree, but it is not a problem for him, as his own company stands to gain from the sale of assets.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 96: The Sapiens

The collapse of Sapey, now referred to as Sapia, continues. It appears the Linap species could be doomed. August Rezif has a radical plan to create two new species to save them. Marlon Carvaress agrees to help him do so.

Sapien Loop 2 - Chapter 97: The Dawn of an Era

The Sapien project appears to be a success. They are born strong and healthy. The Linap health crisis has been stabilised, but it appears the species will forever be condemned to having poor health. For the first time in a long time, when the Linap and Sapien children celebrate during Waldo’s fun time show, there appears to be hope. August reveals a secret project to Maskameera that could greatly change their fortunes.

Sapien Lopp 2 - Epilogue: When the Past Becomes the Present

The Epilogue follows August and Maskameera’s thousand journey from ancient Sapey to the recent fall of Downs. It describes how they have manipulated events from behind the scenes and continue to do so. It describes their intended plans for the story in the final book of the series. My New Book, Sapien Loop

I have published an ebook on Amazon; it is titled ‘Sapien Loop: End of an Era’. The book is fiction. I do not normally write fiction. However, I felt it was appropriate considering what is happening in the world today. Freedom is the most important thing we have, but we are gradually losing it. I have covered this in many of my posts.

In the story, most citizens do not understand the concept of freedom because they have never really experienced it. In essence, the story is about an alien world that might represent our not-so-distant future. There are many other elements to the story that are an abstract and exaggerated version of our reality. I believe this book to be an important read, and I believe it has the potential to change the way you think.

Brief Summary of Sapien Loop

This story is based on the fictional planet Sapia and its sole country, Sapey. Sapey is portrayed as a form of utopia for all its citizens. No poverty. No war. Almost no crime. Opportunities for all.

This was enough for most citizens, but not all. In one of the small regions, some of the citizens had become discontent. They felt something important was missing in their lives. Their discontent did not go unnoticed. Some of the Sapey elite wanted to weaponise this discontent to gain more power. This created more chaos than they anticipated. This led to further widespread social unrest.

On top of the chaos, ambition and greed provoked another enemy. This enemy was on a mission to settle both new and old scores.
