It's only taken just shy of six years!
But that's OK. I've enjoyed almost every step of the way, but like every path, there are ups and downs, twists and turns.
I'm always going to be in awe of my class of 2017/18 who are right out there in the 100Ks but every one of them deserve to be where they are now and I'm very proud of them.
On Hive we have the ability to plough our own furrows and take as much time as we choose, there is nothing to stop anyone on Hive getting whatever they so desire from the platform, whether that be huge HP tallies or a little additional income to improve their lot in life, or both!
Hive gives us choices
Hive means a million different things to a million different people and that's its big advantage over any other form of social media, as well as occasionally being its achilles heel!
Hive isn't all about rewards. It isn't about blogging per se. It isn't even about (sorry, not sorry, libertarians) decentralisation or censorship resistance.
Hive is about people, humanity if you will.
Hive brings people together from across the world, without geo-political or economic barrier and dumps them all in one big cauldron of human stew, and as in 'real' life, there are those who get along, those don't. There are sociable souls and loners, extroverts and introverts, and they're all welcome.
Hive is about authenticity
Anyway, the point of the post was simply to say thank-you to everyone. Thank-you for the support, the votes, the engagement and interaction, not forgetting Dan and Ned who put all this shooting match together, and gave us it for free.
I have drunk free beer because two blokes I have never, and will never meet nor know, created a blockchain based social media platform, and gave it to the world. How amazing is that?
That's it for now. I'm currently too busy with work and proper adulting type stuff to post much at the moment but I'll be back soon.
Have a wonderful weekend and best wishes to all.
Life isn't about the hustle. It's about the humanity, humility and gratitude
