(Es-En)Un lindo día para salvar vidas. A beautiful day to save lives.

I left home and with a smile on my face, I headed to the operating room, remembering my slogan: “Today is a beautiful day to save lives.”

Already in the task, the concentration was palpable; the rhythm of the heart monitor marked the beat of our work. Despite the pressure, there was a sense of calm in the air. We knew that we were doing what we did best: saving lives.

Between laughter and anecdotes, my colleague and I shared moments of camaraderie that relieved the tension of the operating room. Sometimes, a joke or a word of encouragement was enough to keep us motivated.
The day continued with several procedures, each with its own challenges and rewards.

As the last operation was over, a sense of satisfaction enveloped us. We had accomplished what we set out to do: help those who needed it most. As we cleaned and organized the operating room, I reflected on the importance of our work. It wasn’t just about surgical anesthesiology techniques; it was about giving hope and a second chance.

As we left the operating room, I turned to my colleague and said, “We did something great today.” She smiled and nodded, knowing that every day in this place is a new opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.
