Ally Pally

I'm not sure what it is about the Darts this time of year? I don't watch darts at all the rest of the year, but when the World Darts Championship comes around, I'm glued to it and last year my eldest son got into it too, so we watch it together in the evenings.

Here are a few pics from the game we just watched.

Yesterday we were lucky enough to be tuned in when Kist shot the first 9 darter of the tournament and then promptly got knocked out of the competition.

It was cool to see the 9 darter though, which is a perfect leg of darts.

I bought a board earlier this year for us and myself and the boys regularly pop out to the shed to throw some darts.

My highest out so far has been 72, which I even took a photo of to send my brother in law who likes darts too.

It was a crazy way to take it out too!

My son and had a couple of games of 301 this evening and I won with double 17 and then double 1.

As you can see from all the dart marks on 3 and 7, I go for 19s more than 20s. I almost had my highest ever total today. I had two triple 19s and a single 19 that hit the wire for a 133 total. My personal best is 140 currently.

Darts is such fun to watch and to play. I never tire of it, especially at this time of year.
