I don't know if you've ever heard of the term wayward. Well, in this context, it's not about good girl going bad. It's about the head of a certain writer being everywhere but her head.
In this post today, I'll be giving you tips on how to JIT. Before I give those tips, I'd like to explain the meaning of JIT.
JIT. An acronym for the term Just In Time is a profession not all could specialize in because it takes serious focus and mental prowess. The JIT began (if I'm not mistaken) with two individuals (@tengolotodo + @b0s) or more (I only know of this two) on Hive who seem to have a knack for last minute posts.
Unlike the carefully thought out posts that have been grilled with planning, seasoned with tone and served with details, the JIT is more rough but gives an illusion of effort. Well it is effort, just not sophisticated enough.
Imagine trying to come up with something to write in two hours. I know many do make posts and publish in record time but what if that person's mind is so exhausted to even think?
So I'll share three helpful tips to JIT successfully, quoting @b0s, Father of the JITTERS.
Ask people. Just in case you're so blank to the point you can't spell your name, jump into Discord or any social media you're active on and present your case. You never know who'd give you the right answer to light the fire.
Be very cautious. One thing with the JIT mindset is the urge to make a halfbaked post. Don't do it. Don't JIT if you're just going to shit. Be careful with each word you record in your post, be timely and efficient. Take a deep breath and slow down. Have a headache? Go to bed. Sleep and make a better post the next day. A great JIT rule.
The most important; Never give up. The JIT is art that requires creativity, out of the box thinking and a lot of jadedness. Remember I said create an illusion?
Make people believe that what they are reading wasn't just one or two points thrown out by random strangers and then woven into carefully plotted articles. Let them feel your tone, your pull and objectivity. Also, don't make conclusions. Just keep writing. You know that junction when your writing looks like shit to you? Keep writing and trust the process. You can go back to proof read and edit– just in time!
And I have rounded up a JIT. Thank you B0s for motivation. I came up with something fun while writing this JIT. On Saturday, everyone (whoever is interested) is invited to drop their special JIT.
Remember what a JIT is? A late post with great tone and illusion? Why not try it?
You can either drop the URL to your post as a comment in this post or just tag me. The best three JIT posts would win the following:
1st place - 200 Ecency points
2nd place - 100 Ecency points
3rd place - 50 Ecency points
At the end of your JIT, tell us what two words motivated your JIT and where you saw them. It could be in a discord channel or a billboard. Doesn't matter. Just have fun. Try thinking out of the box.
Who knew I'll be giving rewards at the end of my post? I didn't. Let's goooooo....
