Hello everyone..
It's Hive Open Mic 179
Most pastors refer to African songs with beats like "Ariaria" as local and not suitable for the modern and sophisticated taste of our Gen Z generation. 😂😂
My church is a witness to this trend, and although I appreciate it for introducing new changes and improvements, not everybody enjoys it. My best friend Sarah, for instance, misses our traditional style of praise.
Usually, we are allowed to sing our traditional praise songs once a month. So, this theme inspired my entry this week, and I decided to pick two songs we consider Western in our church.
As you can see, both songs were written and performed by Nigerians but have a Western flow and style.
What are your thoughts on this new trend?
Please enjoy my entry

Creator creator of the universe what cant you do
What can't you do what can't you do
What can't you do Jesus
Name above every
Name above every other name every other name
What can't you change
What can't you change Jesus
Lift your hands and say you're able
You are able great and mighty great and mighty God
You're able Jesus
there is nothing nothing you cannot do
Nothing you cannot change
Nothing you cannot turn around
You are able
Great and mighty God
I put my trust in you
You are able Jesus
Thank you so much for stopping by
Many blessings and love ❤️🙏💕
