Hello to all in the Hive open mic community and Happy New Year.
I hope you are looking forward to 12 months filled with music making.
I'm extremely lucky to have a whole group of friends who play instruments and sing such as @steevc, @todayslight, @daniellemurray and @anna-newkey. Being able to make music with other people is so important to me. It's the one thing that helps me to feel steady, even if there are things going on in life that are unpleasant, sad or difficult. It is my dose of happiness. The antidote for feeling low.
This week we have been given the theme 'Melodic Dose'..which is great because I think we can just let rip with any song we think has a great melody. The one I chose is an old one from 1933, written by Harold Arlan and Ted Koehler. The song is sad and about missing someone but I really enjoy singing the lovely melody. I hope you enjoy hearing it.
