I was able to experience the true beauty of the Hive ecosystem when I visited HiveFest—this time seemed very different, even though I had already attended some wonderful events in the UK where I made amazing connections with Hivers like @steevc, @alessandrawhite, and @adetorrent at both the London and Bedford gatherings. It was a completely different experience to meet technocrats and blockchain players from around the globe in person. HiveFest was an amazing display of creativity and excitement.
After an incredible journey with @missbitcoin-sv, where we captured the numerous Hive boreholes developed over the years, I joined HiveFest from Ghana. Alejandra, crowned Miss Universe-El Salvador, was ecstatic to be involved in these achievements, especially with regard to the official launch of the 17th Hive borehole in Nsuta Kwagyei, which is aiding in the resolution of the community's water issue. Our collaborative efforts in Ghana created the ideal environment for the anticipation of HiveFest.
Following our trip to Croatia, we attended the opening night of HiveFest, an event filled with joy, laughter, and the making of new connections. The bar was made even more memorable by meeting people like @roelandp, who gave me my HiveFest tag, and by witnessing the effort and commitment of @lordbutterfly and many others. Huge thanks to @starkerz, who provided me with such a kind and encouraging host throughout the whole trip. Meeting @brianoflondon, @crimsonclad, @solarisfuture, @yabapmatt @stoodkev @detlev @bugavi @mynewlife, @arcange @lizanomadsoul and other amazing Hivers was also a pleasure.
The first day of the event was definitely perfect. I got to meet Hivers and pioneers of blockchain, whom I had previously only seen online. I learned a great deal about Hive and Web3 technologies from the presentations, conversations, and speeches. Nobody wanted the day to end, and the talks went as easily as the drinks. It was infectious, and I could sense everyone's enthusiasm for Hive's future.
We all got together for dinner to celebrate the day's accomplishments, laughs, and thoughts on how to make our blockchain-based operations even better. I departed feeling even more enthused by the opportunities that lay ahead because of how strongly the community was together.
Although I've always enjoyed getting together, my first HiveFest was really incredible. My entire time at the event was incredible. The realization that I now have an endless number of reasons to express why Hive is genuinely exceptional made it all the more important. Finally getting to meet the individuals in person was amazing, and it was amazing to see how much love and excitement everyone had for one another.
Much was talked about, learned, and enjoyed. It's hard to put the experience into words. Stay close to my blog for more of my thoughts from this incredible HiveFest in my next blogs!
