A few days ago, @lizelle wrote about how fragile life is. When I read her post I felt very identified but until now I had not dared to write about what happened to me. The last few days were so hard for me and my loved ones but fortunately, the outcome was good and today I can tell you what I experienced.
Last Friday, I suffered a heart attack caused by blood clots in the arteries of my heart. Because there were several clots, they could do little in the angiogram that was done that day, and I was in a very delicate health condition with a reserved prognosis in ICU for a couple of days. Thanks to the treatment and so many prayers the clots dissolved and the angiogram 48 hours later came out clean. I will have to follow a course of anticoagulants, undergo some tests, and take it easy in the coming weeks, but thank god my heart is still strong and in good condition. And most of all I am alive.
Yesterday, I returned home. And this morning, while I was having a morning infusion tea, can you believe it @tengolotodo I haven't had coffee for days, but I saw the sky bluer than ever, the mountains were more beautiful, the macaws were flying across the sky, and seemed magic, and I was sitting on my couch admiring those wonders, alive.
I do not wish anyone to feel that pain in the chest as if you were crushed by an elephant, but I tell you that the pain came very quickly since I started to feel a small pressure in my chest that then was reflected in my left arm as if it weighed me down. As Lizzie wrote, we should not ignore any signal or call from our body. I was saved because the heart attack hit me when I was already in the hospital.
They were hard days, but I came out well as if I was born again. And I felt so wrapped up by so many signs of love from my family and friends. Thank you dear Super Ed @tengolotodo for caring when I became silent around here. Today, I feel blessed and more eager than ever to enjoy every second that life gives me. I hope you all do the same.
And since it is a new beginning and also the first day of the last month of the year, I feel fortunate to be able to participate once again in the Hive PUD. I did my power-up of 24 Hive. My account is at 4,400 HP, and I'm just away from my HP goal of the year by 100, which I hope to be able to reach this month.
And I continue with my dear @lizelle and @fionasfavourites supporting three more Redfish with the power of three in HP delegations. Read Fionas' post for details.
I think this is all for today. For the next few days, I won't be as active here as I usually am. If I'm slow in responding to your comments, you know why. But I feel so lucky that I couldn't help but share it.
Thanks for reading
If you're reading this and you are not on Hive yet, I invite you to join through my referral link. And I could delegate some Resources credit to help you get started.
