It was the last day of winter and our first upper 60 degree F day in quite some time. The sun was shining bright so I decided to get myself out for a well needed hike and an opportunity to take a few pictures. My destination was the Whychus Canyon Preserve not far from where I live. So join me for a short hike around the canyon.
All of our winter snow was pretty much gone but the trail was still a little muddy in places. Lucky for me the ground was still frozen from the night before when I started my hike.

Reaching the rim of the canyon I could see the opposite wall and some of the rim-rock.

After descending a bit into the canyon the trail leveled out and I headed east.

One last look east down the canyon before I drop down a bit more and head west. Being a little out of shape from the winter I chose not to drop all the way down to Whychus Creek this day. I still had some up hill to do on the way back and judging by how my legs felt the next day I made the right decision. 😅
