Thoughtful Daily Post Curation Compilation #10

in #hive-1092882 months ago

By conveying our deeper thoughts on Hive, we can uplift and support each other across the blockchain. This week we had some wonderful authors visit to share their life reflections, wisdom, and snapshots of their experience on this rock with us.

No matter if they have responded to our weekly prompt, or posted on their own topics, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate thoughtfulness on chain! We hope you will consider taking the time to check their writing out and support their work! You may even make a new friend. ✌️

Balancing Quality and Cost by @olujay

I used to wonder how people could spend so much on things like handbags, shoes, or even wristwatches. I couldn't even understand how a woman would spend so much on hair—something that could even buy my phone three times over or even more. But the narrative started changing when people started asking me how I could spend so much on a phone or even earphones, and that's when it hit me. You see, I really was not against spending so much money on something. I just wondered if that thing was really worth that much

There's days like this by @becca-mac

I could work out how many days I've had so far but I'm not going to, I'd not share it here anyway so there's little point to it however I know that there's days and then there's days! Today I had the second one, one of those really special days that seem to sometimes come right out of nowhere but at exactly the right time. My guy took this image What was so special about today is something I don't want to talk about other than to say that it involved a lovely harbor walk with my boy who had a rare day away from his job and a lovely lunch at a seafood restaurant overlooking a little wharf area where so many cute little boats bobbed around waiting for their owners to take them sailing. It was quite perfect, a lovely mix of exercise, light conversation, moments of silence hand in hand with my guy, such lovely fresh caught seafood that cost us for too much money, and an entire day spent together with the most important person in my life; I think that was the best part because it happens so rarely, especially in the middle of the week. This week has been a very important one for us as something special happened that we have been working towards for months and looking ahead we are excited at the prospect of what this week will deliver and come to mean for us

Getting Back Into the Swing of Things by @jayna

I’ve been away! Actually, I’m on Hive every single day as an admin of The Ink Well. But it has been quite some time since I blogged regularly. To make a long story very short, I broke my foot really badly a year and a half ago, and it um (pardon the pun) crippled my writing schedule. The reason being that my m.o. was Actifit

For Everything There is a Season... by @agmoore

Robert, James, Mary, Alice, June... My mother's voice soared across the brook that separated our yard from the forest. Her singsong refrain traveled over the pines and into whatever thicket we were exploring that day. It was time to go home. How old was I?

I need to move. by @honeydue

Even when I'm moving. Last night, unable to sleep, I found myself pacing my small Barcelona studio. I stepped out on the tiny balcony, but it wouldn't award me the space I suddenly craved. The fresh air my lungs were calling for. I contemplated going for a walk, but the deserted foreign streets and it being 1 AM was off putting

Ageless Words by @ibbtammy

If there’s one thing I have lived by in life is to never despise the teachings of an old person. I have come to appreciate the wise sayings of these people more than life coaches, therapists or mentors who are supposedly experts in their fields, it’s safe to say that their advice and teachings are the real deal, they are deep and ageless. One thing about these elderly people is that they do not need to attain the highest level of education, heck! They do not need to go through the four walls of a school but they are damn good!

The feel-good vibe that comes from being Happy. by @kenechukwu97

Happiness is one of those things I don't think too much about. I don't like to just do things "because I want to be happy". I know that the moment I start making decisions that are solely based on what makes me happy, I will end up making a lot of regrettable decisions. Don't get it twisted though. I still enjoy being happy and I've been able to figure out the things that genuinely give me that feel good vibe that comes from being happy

I Stubbed My Toe But Here's What I Realized After by @cli4d

Have you already stubbed your toe at the edge of a piece of furniture? That must be an infuriating and painful experience to the point that you already cursed the culprit. I had this kind of experience yesterday and my character was really tested after a heavy metal spatula fell on my little toe. I was washing the dishes, when the spatula, out of nowhere, fell on its own and continued its dramatic decend directly to my little toes. A curse word came out of my mouth as a result of the impact

The wisdom nuggets from the elders. by @ijebest

The words of the elderly are like icing on cakes, every intelligent individual doesn't toy with those words that has been on the marbles of lives note books up from their generations to other many generations without end. Growing up with my maternal grandparents as a loved first grand child, I had so many opportunities hearing them speak, advice, and direct me and some of my other cousins and many other individuals that came across our house making us have quality lives wrapped up by wisdom. This has been my launching pad into life and it's unannounced ups and downs situations. It has immensely helped and shaped my path in this vast entity called... Life

WISE WORDS FROM MY FATHER by @supernova004

I had come back home from school that day to learn that a young boy, about my age, had insulted my big brother. He was a neighbour. I was furious. There's this thing about my household, we never ever let anyone disrespect us. But it gets worse if it's an elder one(like if someone my age disrespects my elder)
