Es bueno, estar por aquí más pronto de lo que esperaba, y, si eres Venezolano, imagino sabes a lo que me refiero.
En caso de que no, bueno, ya vas a enterarte el porqué de esas palabras.
Resulta que el día de ayer, viernes 30/08/2024, como a eso de las 4:30 am se fue la energía eléctrica, y, en su momento, llegue a imaginar que era algo momentáneo, ya que recientemente se estaban presentando muchas fallas eléctricas por donde vivo. De verdad que no preste la mayor importancia al tema de que nos habíamos quedado sin luz, así que seguí durmiendo, aunque si me levante repetidas veces pensando que estaba muy raro porque ya debería haber llegado la energía eléctrica, pero, bueno, me vino cualquier pensamiento que no levantaba mis alarmas. Pues, decía, cualquier cosa me voy a la casa de alguna tía para poder trabajar desde allá.

It's good to be here sooner than I expected, and, if you are Venezuelan, I guess you know what I mean.
In case you don't, well, you're about to find out why.It turns out that yesterday, Friday 08/30/2024, at about 4:30 am the power went out, and, at the time, I imagined that it was something momentary, since recently there were many power failures where I live. I really did not pay much attention to the fact that we were without electricity, so I continued sleeping, although I woke up several times thinking that it was very strange because the power should have arrived by now, but, well, any thought that did not raise my alarms came to me. Well, I said, whatever, I'm going to an aunt's house so I can work from there.
No sabía que horas eran, pero, ya tenía mucho rato de que se había ido la luz y nada que llegaba, por lo que, no espere más a que sonara mi alarma y tampoco me deje atrapar más por el frío sabroso que hacía en la habitación. Me levanté un poco preocupada y rápido tomé el teléfono y ¡SORPRESA!
Decir Apagón Nacional o que no haya energía eléctrica en varios lugares de Venezuela es un caso que genera mucha preocupación, estrés y ansiedad, porque, algunos no alcanzamos a estar preparados del todo ante estas situaciones, y por preparados me refiero a las cosas de primera necesidad y para mí la más importante es el tema dela agua, luego viene el poder mantener bien conservados los alimentos que ameritan estar refrigerados constantemente.
I didn't know what time it was, but the lights had been out for a long time and nothing was coming, so I didn't wait any longer for my alarm to go off and I didn't let myself get caught by the tasty cold in the room. I got up a little worried and quickly picked up the phone and SURPRISE!
To say that there is a national blackout or that there is no electricity in several places in Venezuela is a case that generates a lot of concern, stress and anxiety, because some of us are not fully prepared for these situations, and by prepared I mean the basic necessities and for me the most important is the issue of water, then comes the issue of being able to keep well preserved food that needs to be constantly refrigerated.

Otra preocupación para mí, era que del trabajo tenía algo pendiente que se realiza antes de finalizar el mes.
Mi ventaja es que tengo un aparato que mantenía mi router de internet encendido y una laptop, pero, no tome la responsabilidad de guardar la laptop cargada la noche anterior, así que, estaba con muy corto tiempo para lograr culminar lo que me correspondía sacar.
Estuve luego mucho rato pensando a donde ir, porque, al menos aquí en Apure, no he oído a alguien que salga a trabajar a algún sitio cuando no tiene luz, y no estaba 100% segura de que el "Mini Centro Comercial" que se encuentra aquí en Apure, tuviese enchufes en la parte de la feria de comidas.
No tuve otra que lanzarme para ciudad Traky con mi hermana y salir de la duda. Afortunadamente, para mí, sí había espacios con enchufes para conectarme.
Eso si, el lugar estaba lleno de muchas personas que aprovechaban para cargar todos los teléfonos que tenían en casa y en un espacio alcance a observar a varias personas sentadas en una mesa con sus computadoras y una impresora. ¡wow!
Another concern for me was that I had some work to do before the end of the month.
My advantage is that I have a device that kept my internet router on and a laptop, but, I did not take the responsibility of keeping the laptop charged the night before, so, I was with very short time to get what I had to get done.
I then spent a long time thinking about where to go, because, at least here in Apure, I have not heard of anyone going to work somewhere without electricity, and I was not 100% sure that the “Mini Mall” that is located here in Apure, had plugs in the part of the food fair.
I had no choice but to go to Traky City with my sister and get out of the doubt. Fortunately, for me, there were spaces with plugs to connect.
The place was full of people who took the opportunity to charge all the phones they had at home and in one space I saw several people sitting at a table with their computers and a printer. wow!
Afortunadamente, pude terminar mi trabajo, cargar mi laptop, mi UPS, y mi teléfono (No es el que ven en la foto).
Fue muy gracioso, porque había personas que no querían compartir el espacio donde se sentaban cargar y tenían como dos o tres enchufes desocupados. Esto realmente me molestaba mucho porque pensaba que estábamos en una situación donde debíamos de tendernos la mano.
Aunque las personas también suelen abusar, porque, donde estaba, di chance para que otros pudiesen cargar, deje solo mi laptop conectada y a la laptop conecte por USB mi teléfono y el de mi hermana.
Pero, llego un momento en que me di de cuenta que tenía como siete teléfonos de distintos modelos y marcas en mi mesa, y, es que las personas decían, "voy a dejar un momento aquí", "ya vengo", "cuídame un ratico" y, realmente creo que paso como una hora para volver a ver la cara de los dueños de los teléfonos.
Fortunately, I was able to finish my work, charge my laptop, my UPS, and my phone (not the one you see in the picture).
It was really funny, because there were people who didn't want to share the space where they sat to charge and they had like two or three unoccupied plugs. This really bothered me a lot because I thought we were in a situation where we should be reaching out to each other.
Although people also tend to abuse, because, where I was, I gave a chance for others to charge, I left only my laptop plugged in and to the laptop I connected by USB my phone and my sister's phone.
But, there came a time when I realized that I had about seven phones of different models and brands on my table, and, is that people said, “I'll leave a moment here”, “I'm coming”, “take care of me for a while” and, I really think it took about an hour to see the faces of the owners of the phones.
La parte buena es que en la feria de comida había bastante ofertas, y, a su vez, pude pedir una pizza para compartir con mi hermana y con un joven al que le compartimos nuestra mesa para que se sentara mientras cargaba en uno de los enchufes cercano.
Por alguna extraña razón me salió la necesidad de compartir con él, pues, en mi pensamiento estaba aquello de que "es un tiempo de tender la mano" y, además, pensaba en las veces que gente desconocida me tendía la mano.
The good part is that there were plenty of bargains at the food fair, and, in turn, I was able to order a pizza to share with my sister and a young man who we shared our table with to sit at while he charged at one of the nearby outlets.
For some strange reason I felt the need to share with him, because, in my mind was that “it's a time to reach out” and, moreover, I thought of the times that strangers reached out to me.
En otras, no fue tan agradable prestar algún tipo de ayuda, porque llego una mujer que estaba como molesta, porque su teléfono no estaba agarrando carga, porque uno de los enchufes estaba medio malo.
Pensé, que tenía problemas porque se enoja cuando ella dejó su teléfono allí y se fue a pasear por el centro comercial, ¿por qué no estuvo pendiente?
Luego de esto, termine de trabajar, no termine de cargar los teléfonos porque se volvió muy incómodo la mesa donde estaba, porque esas mujeres ya nos hacían caras a mi hermana y a mí, así que, recogí todas mis cosas y nos retiramos.
In others, it was not so nice to provide some kind of help, because a woman came in who was kind of upset, because her phone was not taking charge, because one of the plugs was kind of bad.
I thought, I had problems because he gets mad when she left her phone there and went to walk around the mall, why wasn't he watching out?
After this, I finished working, I didn't finish charging the phones because it became very uncomfortable at the table where I was, because those women were already making faces at my sister and me, so I gathered all my things and we left.
Luego de toda esa aventura, toco regresar a casa, afortunadamente llegamos antes de que lloviera y pudimos aprovechar a almacenar algo de agua.
Claro, ya a las 5 pm, se escuchaba que el tema de la luz era por 3 o 5 días, por lo que era primordial almacenar la mayor cantidad de agua posible.
Afortunadamente, como a eso de las 9, casi 10 de la noche, llego la energía eléctrica.
After all that adventure, it was time to return home, fortunately we arrived before it rained and we were able to store some water.
Of course, already at 5 pm, we heard that the light issue was for 3 or 5 days, so it was essential to store as much water as possible.
Fortunately, at about 9, almost 10 pm, the power came on.
Bueno, esto fue toda mi vivencia de ayer.
