"I have a dream"
"I have a dream".....these were the words of the legend Martin Luther King Jr.
Something about his confidence in believing in a dream always stirs my heart positively because I know that anything can be possible with the right efforts and relationships. It doesn't matter how long it takes, as long as one is determined, he or she will eventually see their dreams materialize before them.
What three things do you hope to experience in your lifetime
I have dreams that I would also love to see materialize in my lifetime and they are as follows:
- Singing on a large stage.
I love to sing a lot and so far I have been doing my singing in my church choir, adding my voice to that of others in praise to God. I also attend concerts where most musicians would be invited to sing and even amongst the spectators, I can still feel the surge of energy bursting from the stage as each musician delivers their hits.
I have longed to one day grace one of such big stages and sing with reckless abandon to my hearts content. This dream is important to me not just for the fame that comes with it but the fact that my songs would be heard by thousands of people all at once. Excited fans and supporters cheering me on......wow, I can feel my heart thumping in my chest in excitement just at visualizing this dream. I believe that with more effort and making the right contacts, it will happen someday.
- The second thing I hope to experience in my lifetime is bungee or bungy jumping.
Despite my acrophobia, I still find myself enjoying the videos of tourists and visitors alike who go bungee jumping on tik tok or in movies. The exhiliating thrill of it always leaves me feeling happy and invigorated and I know that I just have to try out this thing even if it is going to be a one time thing. This is important for me to feel the thrill, fun and joy of jumping from a tall height and facing my fear of heights.
- The third thing that I would also like to experience in my lifetime is to travel on a holy pilgrimage.
It is a long standing dream of mine to visit the land of Isreal and walk through it's streets as I am guided through various monumental places and cities written in the Holy Bible.
This is very important to me because I want to walk the very grounds that Jesus walked on. I want to see their temples and I want to see the historic lands as they were described in ancient times. Simply put, I want to walk were history began.
Like I earlier stated, all these dreams just need some time, efforts and the right contacts to become fulfilled and I'm sure that I will certainly experience all of them and more.
