We started a family tradition of putting the Christmas tree up after Thanksgiving. It always seems to work best since my wife and I have the day off, and the kids don't have school. This year, the kids were super excited to help!
It was a nice change since last year our youngest was too small to help but kept getting in the way while attempting to help. This year, he was able to follow instructions, so things went fairly quickly.
Naturally, everyone was listening to Christmas music the whole time. I made a glass of egg nog to enjoy as well.
Once everything was done with the tree, it was time to hang up the stockings!
It took a little bit to convince them to give up the stockings, but we finally got them up.
It's hard to believe Christmas is only 3 weeks away, but these days, time seems to go by faster than in previous years. It's my favorite time of year, so I wish it had lasted longer. Oh well, it'll come around again next year once this Christmas is over. We'll enjoy the time we have while it's here.
